Let It Go

There are simply those times that you might feel like just smacking yourself in the face. Of course not for no good reason, not because you hate yourself and would want to hurt yourself. No, but rather because there was this mistake you made that seems to just upset you whenever it crosses your mind. And it has become so insistent that it turned like a thorn in the flesh. I have my share of such experience.

So just to know, I am one who you can say tries judiciously not to make mistakes, especially of some kind (nevertheless mistakes can be, and maybe to say even, are inevitable). Yet, I find myself at those times being occupied in heart and mind with the burden of such errors and mistakes. Trust me, even the slightest of them can piss the state of my emotion at such times.

The complexities with such a state or situation is the fact that the consequences are the factors that tend to bound and hold one's mind. So one finds his or herself overly thinking and engrossed in the burden of those mistakes. The consequences can be great reminders I tell you. And as I was saying about the complexities, these mistakes tend to have a tighter rein on a person according to the nature of the consequences. So, some of those days I find myself reminiscing, if only I did this or that, this way or that way or didn't do this or that, then maybe the result could have been different from that which was on ground. From the small to the complex ones, so they became a bag of burden hanging on my shoulders.

Well, so we may have it. One thing though I have come to realise is that these things are the drawing board for our minds, tricking us into worries that will only weary us. I strongly affirm it can affect a person's productivity even. Yet, we find ourselves dispensing substantial amount of time into such worries and burdens.

I believe mistakes can be made, but then it is what we do with them afterwards that will determine if we have learnt and become better through them or rather we were just poisoned in our minds by them. I think I have come to learn as well that it is okay to make some mistakes sometimes, but repeating them several times even is a sign of not learning or of unrepentance.

Mistakes are supposed to be stepping ladders to perfection, it's quite disheartening how some of those mistakes cause us our peace but the ability to heal and learn should be the priority..
Thank you for sharing @daverick

Mistakes are a part of life. We can try our best, but sometimes it is inevitable. Personally, I move on from a mistake by writing down lessons I learnt from it. It helps a lot.

Thank you you for sharing.

That's true. It's always up to us to know what do with it.
Wow, that's a nice way to move on from a mistake. This is a new lesson for me. Thanks
