A Productive Day (Kinda)

When you have so much to do and say but can’t quite say it.

The thing is, I actually have quite a lot to do, and as much as I want to get them all done, somehow, my focus magically disappeared, haha. But let’s just talk about today; maybe I’ll have something more to say for all of the piling-up adventures I can’t wait to talk about.

Today was an extremely hot day. It’s pretty unpredictable that it’s blazing hot in December. Just as you can see in the thumbnail above, it was clear but with beautiful clouds. The sky was the canvas, and the clouds were adorning it. Another great thing is that today I received the T-shirt I ordered just 2 days ago. I can’t believe it’s actually arriving, and the quality is not bad. As much as I have a high standard for prints, this one isn’t bad, and it passed my inspection. The t-shirt I am printing is also quite affordable, thanks to Shoppee and those sweet discounts, haha.

I scroll through many posts and hive graphic assets to find one that fits the aesthetic I want to go with. I ended up finding the work of @doze. In the past, I also printed one of his Hive wallpaper as a poster I used to have back in my flat. It was a couple of years ago, and today, I came back to choose his design for the t-shirt.

At first, I was requesting to the printing place to use black as the canvas, but I reckon white works well and looks more flattering. So, I chose white and here’s the T-shirt that came with it.

First experience in a self-studio box

I also noticed I hadn’t taken any proper pictures in years. I heard about Self-studio photos, where you can take fantastic pictures. So, I went to one booth in town, and I was happy with the result it gave me. Although, again, I am pretty awkward, and the results were mostly weird because I got confused about the placement, haha. At least now I can have a cool picture and update my avatar everywhere. I also got some of them printed and it was free.

I recently got a Canva Pro subscription, and I can tell you how much it’s a life-changing graphic work. It’s like a helpful tool for graphic dummies like me. It gave me another chance to learn how to be a pro without learning and going the extra mile in Photoshop. I know nothing beats those apps, but Canva makes it easier and simpler for people like me who want to tinker with graphics but don’t have much time to go deep into it.

A fun little story is that I used to deny access to these tools. But these days, why not leverage all these things? After all, it helped me, and I have to say getting Grammarly and Canva Pro has been the most significant and most helpful investment I’ve ever made this year.

It also exposed me to new things and taught me about Gen Z communication and marketing. They do everything by Canva these days, which seems to be the standard. When you have the free version, it’s limited to what you can do, but the pro version is like the world at your fingertips.
