The Silent Guardians of DSWD Region 10: A Day at the Gate

The rhythmic tick-tock of the clock punctuates the quiet efficiency of my workday. As a security guard stationed at the entrance of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Region 10 in Cagayan de Oro City, my role is often unseen, yet undeniably vital. My days unfold in a series of meticulous observations and recordings, a silent vigil ensuring the smooth operation of this crucial government agency.

My post is at the heart of the DSWD complex, the gateway through which employees, visitors, and official vehicles pass. It’s a strategic location, demanding constant vigilance and attention to detail. My primary responsibility is to maintain a comprehensive log of all vehicle movements, meticulously recording license plate numbers, entry and exit times, and the purpose of each visit. This seemingly simple task is crucial for security, accountability, and the overall management of the facility. A missing entry, a misplaced detail, could have unforeseen consequences.

Beyond the vehicles, my duties also include monitoring the movement of employees. Each employee's entry and exit is recorded, ensuring a clear accounting of personnel within the building. This is not merely a matter of record-keeping; it's a critical element of security, contributing to the overall safety and security of the DSWD staff and the sensitive information they handle.

The work is not always exciting, but it demands a high level of concentration and responsibility. There's a quiet satisfaction in knowing that my diligence contributes to the smooth functioning of the DSWD. The sense of security I provide is a silent reassurance to the employees who pass through my post each day. They know that a watchful eye is ever-present, ensuring their safety and the security of the building.

My colleagues, the other security personnel pictured with me, are my partners in this silent guardianship. We work as a team, supporting each other, sharing responsibilities, and maintaining a constant state of alertness. We are a diverse group, united by our shared commitment to duty and our dedication to ensuring the safety and security of the DSWD Region 10.

The job requires patience, precision, and a commitment to maintaining order. It’s not glamorous, but it’s essential. It's a role that demands unwavering focus and a keen eye for detail, but it is also a role that contributes directly to the safety and security of a vital government agency. The quiet vigilance of security personnel like myself is often unseen, but it is the foundation upon which the smooth operation of the DSWD Region 10 rests. We are the silent guardians, ensuring the safety and security of those who work tirelessly to serve the community. We are the unseen protectors, and our work is essential.

More than just a job; it's about ensuring the safety and well-being of our community. Proud to be part of the DSWD Region 10 security team.

The strength of a team. Working together to maintain security and order at DSWD Region 10.
