So guys, trust me, the fact that I'm in Ghana and Africa is mostly thanks to Hive. But not only; it's also thanks to everyone who participated in building inspiring projects like boreholes in several places.
I have to admit that the conference was an additional opportunity for me. My main plan was to visit Ghana and make a documentary about the borehole, which is something we're still working on so we can showcase the hard work and what we achieved as Hive all around the world.
For me, this month has been extremely busy—so many flights, trying to sort out visas at the last minute, getting headaches from the heat and air conditioning, driving around on bumpy roads, visiting boreholes, and much more, which has filled my schedule every day, thanks to @mcsamm.
Attending the Ghana conference and hitting two birds with one stone is a significant benefit for me. It's an opportunity to see how Hive works in Ghana, which is something unique. As a long-time user, seeing so many people interested in new technology, asking questions, and being curious gives me hope that with your curiosity, we as a worldwide community can take things to the next level.
Honestly, I wanted to come on stage and speak to all of you about not only my experience on Hive but also how welcomed I feel in Ghana, and obviously introduce myself as Akwasi. However, instead of putting myself in the center of attention, I preferred to stick with using my language, which is filmmaking. That is something you will probably see at some point. I'm also happy to talk to some of you one-on-one. I'm glad a few people came up to me, said hello, and introduced themselves. If anyone wanted to do that but didn't use this opportunity, then you can always do so here.
One very important thing I've noticed is that Hive works differently all around the world, which means that everyone can have a different experience as a community and as individuals. If someone feels like creating their own community, then they are entitled to do so. Ghanaian problems will be different from those of Europeans, Americans, or any other continent out there. But I can honestly say that I believe Hive has answers to all those questions.
I'm really glad to have this opportunity to come and see how you guys in Ghana operate. I also have to admit that I'm extremely impressed with the energy from some of you. I could see so many talented and passionate people, and from what I understand, many newcomers and those who are already on the platform will be successful.
The one important thing I can say is that whatever you have dreamed in your life, you can definitely use this advantage, which is Hive, to achieve it. The one very important thing I want to leave you with is, "Money is the side effect of passion".
