There are so many lessons I've learned this year. This year happens to be a very good year with lots of lessons.
My first lesson is to never be afraid to do anything, whether new or not. This year I went to camp, which is NYSC camp (National Youth Service Corps). I never prepared for it, but when I got there, I met so many things that caught my attention. I've never coached volleyball before, and I was a bit scared because of the fact that I would be training ladies. Well, since no one is ready to take the task, I take it.
Remember I said I'd never done this volleyball coaching before? It was touchy at the beginning, but then I was so happy I did it. After everything, I received glory, and I was even compensated. From that day on, I never got scared to try anything new. It gives me the confidence to be able to handle any situation.
Building quality relationships with people is another lesson that I learned this year. I realized that the relationship we build today will be what we and our children will see as opportunity and connection tomorrow. By the way, it is so nice to know who you are building a strong relationship with. People that will add value to your life—people that you can call when you are down—are the type of relationships we can build. There's a clear difference between knowing people and building quality relationships with them.
Put yourself first.
I'm this kind of person who always likes to appreciate people and love them so dearly. I forget to love myself and be there for myself. There are people who will take you for granted just because you are kind. To avoid that, you must be there for yourself first; you must show kindness to yourself and love yourself so dearly.
Don't believe it can't happen to you.
This is another lesson I learned this year. It is so good to be humble and nice. I never think I can become the president of my CDs; I mean, I never see it coming. All I'm doing is doing my best and being so active in all I'm doing, but then I was noticed for my actions, which I did not believe, and I became the president and did well in my regime. My point is that I never for once thought I would be a leader there; all I was doing was my best, but then my best was noticed.
Lastly, I've learned to be able to control myself, be more patient, and reduce my anger. So far, so good. This is because, as a leader, you must be able to manage your anger. This year was a good one for me, and I'm happy I was able to learn a lot.

Many people underestimate the good of a quality relationship, it can change your life drastically, one good person in your life is all you may need. I am glad this was one of the lessons you acquired in the year
Your last paragraph was a bit jammed up, you could has separated from "lastly" and the rest
Trying something new can be very scary and exciting at the same time depends on the situation and that something new. Sometimes when I want to start something new I become so afraid just like when I wanted to start my business. I was thinking a lot, I was thinking about what if the business will not succeed? At some points I had to weave off the fear and get started and I didn't regret it and I was happy I did it just like what you just said. You even got comprehensiated how awesome?
It is indeed true that with just meeting the right set of people can change a lot in our lives. For someone like me I value quality relationship a lot. It is good to know your story 😊
I really need to work on building relationships, I enjoy staying on my own and can't open up to friendship and relationship.
Great lessons learnt. Being able to put yourself first is paramount over the years i had been pleasing others to displease myself, putting others first and i was taken for granted. And also as a leader patience is a great virtue. Awesome that you actually gave yourself in for to achieve this great lessons for the year.
I like that you stated that we should put ourselves first. We have only one life to live and it is important the make the best out of it. We should always learn to take care of ourselves first rather than killing ourselves for people who don’t care about us.
Thank you for sharing with us.
