Causes of Reverse Sexism

So many arguments have been put forward and analysed as to why men are invariably treated the way they are most times. Some view it across the line of marriage (later to be discussed in details), while on the other arm, it emanates from even amongst the men in the society.

Concerning divorce, two causes can be noted

Alimony sharing: The rationale behind the sharing of alimony was birthed in the 1950s when men were making up about 90 percent of the workforce leaving the women as housewives and thus in an event of separation, the wife ought to be properly compensated in other to be compensated.

But bringing it down to the present world, should such still exist?

A story was told of Emmanuel Eboue, an African football player, who almost went back to square one after a divorce. This is already becoming a concern to the financial well being of the male folks, but the society seem to ignore that totally!

Custody of children: There is the stereotypic stance that stands to prevail over the world that men are irresponsible and can hardly get to take care of children. But that seems to be some form of hasty generalized thought.

Some countries, have however, made some positive moves on this creating a fifty-fifty mode of sharing custody, while some still go under the umbrella of "the best interest of the child" to deny father's custody even when it's to their best interest, all because of the blind fold of "irresponsibility of men!"

Some judges, still proclaim men as set of beings with no emotions as deduced by Farrell

Other causes of these include, gayism, financial instability and lots of others, stereotypes of several sorts.

Effects of These Acts on Male Folks

Withdrawal from the society at large:

One of the biggest effects talking on a male is making the person with draw from the society as such acts create the notion and mental situation in them, that they don't measure up to anything at all.

Low self-esteem

Generally, there has been the stereotypic view that see men as the highest when it comes to matters concerning...

But should we keep acceding to that?

I better say that a personal study can achieve better result.

Just like any other person, being marginalised, these acts can make men to always have the suppressed thought of "I don't measure up"

Other effects can include depression, suicide drive and others.

In conclusion, just as we seek to be equals in the society or atleast be seen in the light of equity, let's learn to respect one's choice or circumstance,
