- Career
Following my dad’s profession
In this aspect I’m quite opposite of my brother, I grew up developing feelings, love towards my dad’s profession of being a football referee.
I’m always intrigued seeing my dad in action, the recognition and reputation he’s got, is just so appealing. I believe that’s when i finally fell in love in becoming a Nigeria football referee.
Then one day i told my dad, i believe i was 18years at the time when i told him i will loved to join the referee association, he was like oh really? And i answered yes quickly, lol.
He said that’s great and before i know it he enrolled me.
Becoming a professional referee is not easy
Yes, you read that right, I thought it would be an easy task becoming a referee but not knowing the unforeseen challenges that lies ahead. If i could remember properly the group i was enrolled with into taking the NRA( Nigeria Referee Association) exam that year (2014) had to be lectured for about 2 months prior to the exam. I thought it would just be one exam i will sit for, pass then boom becoming a Nigerian Referee but i was wrong. it’s actually three🤦🏻♂️, I was told it’s three exams, I needed to pass grade 3 exam, grade 2 exam, and grade 1 exam all in about 3years plus and that’s not the end i would still have to go ahead and pass a physical fitness test that deals with running 🏃🏻♂️ and extras which was so tough and hard to pass.
But due to my love for the sport i stood strong and passed all stages i became a Nigerian Referee Year 2018/2019. I have been privileged to hold different matches in different states and still counting…

Welcome aboard! I'll delegate some resource credits to help you comment and post more often while you get started. The best way to build a good audience is to be a good audience for others, so create conversations!
Be sure to write down your keys and keep them somewhere safe. Here is another writer's overview of which keys do what. Beware of scammers who promise quick riches or mystery airdrops, and don't enter your keys anywhere carelessly.
The HIVE community tends to be welcoming, but rewards may drop off after your introduction. Persevere! The path to success is not always fast and easy. Avoid plagiarism and spam in your posts. You'll make progress in due time. Here's a great post from another blogger with some helpful advice, too.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask! I don't have all the answers, but I am glad to help if I can. And I have some appreciation for what it takes to be a sports official. One of my fellow librarians is married to a youth softball umpire. Between keeping the kids in line and wrangling obnoxious parents, it can be a hassle for him!
