In the face of the coronavirus virus, the consequences are already being felt by many companies. Taking the example of one company that is affected: Danone, for example, is forecasting a €100 million impact of the coronavirus epidemic on its sales in the first quarter, with China being the group's second largest market, accounting for around 10% of its sales in 2019. This leads to a forecast for the Group as a whole of stable sales in the first quarter on a comparable basis.
And like all areas, finance is also being affected by the virus and stock market indices are virtually unstable, not to mention the concern of financiers about exchange rates and their changes.
As far as our famous platform is concerned, theoretically, it should be affected by the virus, at the financial level (Steem/USD exchange rate) and also at the user level, (a strong decrease in the presence of Chinese users, and in their foreign exchange operations and investments. On the other hand, in reality, by observing that STEEMIT is actually stronger than the theoretical forecasts, this explains the good governance and management of the platform towards these users.
