Hi There! 😊💙

It is me again! 😊 Today was another great day to draw so I once again load up the prompt generator and got the word PLATYPUS, FRIES and FAMILY. At first I really don't know what I should draw for the prompt FAMILY since I don't really fancy drawing multiple characters since I want to finish up this piece within an hour. That is where the inspiration hits me, Psy x Family! I decided to draw Anya and to keep things related, I decided to draw the most famous Platypus on TV, Perry the Platypus! So this is my piece for today, Perry the Platypus being held high by Anya Forger while eating her Fries. 😆

Now, here are the steps that I followed in making this piece: ✔️

✨ Step 1 ✔️

First, did a quick sketch of the piece that I want to draw 😊. As always, I keep my lines here as loose as possible. I started by stablishing the basic shapes of the piece. 😄

✨ Step 2 ✔️

I then redrew the lines while also fixing some mistakes. I also added the details that I want to add to the drawing. 😊

✨ Step 3 ✔️

I then redrew my lineart while trying to put some styles on my lineart. This time, I tried putting variety to my line art. I tried placing the thicker line art on the outer part of the piece. I then added the thinner part on the smaller details. I think I really love this style I will keep it in my future drawings! 😁

✨ Step 4 ✔️

Next is I added the flat colors of the piece. As always, I keep the color palette not too saturated. 🙂

✨ Step 5 ✔️

I then added the shadows of the image. This part is kinda hard since adding shadows to both characters kinda ruins their design so I have to lessen the shadows that I usually puts on my characters. 😅

✨ Step 6 ✔️

Finally, I added the highlights and after some minor tweaks, it is finished! 💙 This is the first time that I relied on highlights to make my character pop and I am a fan! I really love how it makes Anya shines even brighter I might keep this style in my future drawings too! ❤️

🤔 What should I work on next time? 🤔

This time, I want to study line weight since I can see the improvements that I made on my line art and I am quite happy with that but I still find it too boring. That is why I think adding variety on my line weight will bring my art to another level! 😊❤️
