The contrast of this scene between the outside world and the peaceful interior was central to my idea for this piece. I wanted to create a space where viewers could feel the calm of being indoors while still feeling connected to the vibrancy of the city.
The tall windows frame the cityscape perfectly, almost as if the glowing buildings become part of the interior design. The city buzzes in the background, but the room itself is untouched by the chaos. Plants add an organic element, softening the geometric lines of the buildings.
This painting captures the duality of city living—the closeness of the city’s pulse while maintaining personal spaces of stillness and tranquility. It reflects that balance we all seek between engagement with the world and retreating into quiet moments.
