Comparison of mint cost of core cards with their market price. 28 feb 2022

in Gods On Chain3 years ago

Minting and selling core cards was supposed to be one of the core drivers of GU P2E economy. Unfortunately it turns out that the reality is not as simple with nearly half of the cards having their market price below their minting cost. Nevertheless, it seems like some cards still have potential for sale. I wanted to share with you a data that I produced, that compares core cards mint cost with their market price (at the time of data generation). I compare to price in $GODS (disregarding ETH and other) and rank cards according to percentage wise difference between minting cost and their market price.

Unsurprisingly, cards with the highest difference between price and minting cost are mostly legendary and epic. Number 1 spot goes to Hector, Prince of Troy which on the market costs 8.48 $GODS yielding potential 465% income above minting cost of 1.5 $GODS to the lucky seller. Highest ranked epic card, sits at the 4th place, with $GODS price 2.99 and percentage difference of 328%. At #15 we have the first rare card - Marsh Walker costing 0.64 $GODS on the market putting it at 116% above mint cost. Most precious common card is Black Jaguar taking 11th place with its price of 0.25 $GODS that is 150% above the mint cost. Overall 95 out of 238 listed cards have their market price below their mint cost. The last place with market price of only 0.069 $GODS is taken by Auric Rush sitting it at -31%.

If you could have compiled the data into a table and just included it into the post that would have been nice. Sometimes the reader just likes to take a look at the information right there in the post. And not have to click an eternal link to view it. Nice subject however.
