The town did grew, the market bustled, and the people eventually stopped buying handmade timepieces. Yet * Emmanuel’s* name was the new name beginning to echo in tech fairs and television interviews, “The Village's watch the genius redefines wearable tech!” He had opened the Tempo Africa, merging vintage craftsmanship with AI. "I only dealt with cops once. You're not welcome in my house anymore," I said turning my back to her.

I paused to listen to her excuse.

Suddenly, the stall door creaked open slowly; fear filled our heart as we intensified our grip on ourselves. "I swear on every meat pie I have ever eaten, I definitely saw a shadow of something move inside." Ekaete said, shivering.

"We'll play a hospital game. There's real medicine here." She replied.
I stared closely at the drugs in her hand and recognized them to be my little brother's drugs. The hospital had prescribed it when he came down with the flu some weeks ago.
"Sandra, we can't use that. That's a real medicine, and you're not even sick." I said, but she laughed and the other kids joined in on the laughter.

I ran without knowing where I was going, because I couldn't remember where there might be blue flowers. I feared I might not find any blue flowers and receive some penance: my big sister's penances were also terrible.

Marcus watched her closely with strangeness. “No, my darling, I mean the prayer we will dedicate to him, are you all right?”
Helen's face darkened, erasing her smile. “What do you mean? He's not here? You mean we're going to call him?”
Marcus began to worry and looked at Helen as if something was wrong with her.
