Blue, Pink and Purple My Obsession With Colors and Flowers

Could this be expressed any better or more beautifully. Monet the master of color. I am sure if Monet had seen this blue daze he would have painted it.

That's right blue, pink and purple are my colors. While pink was a color I loved from childhood, blue came later in life. As a teenager I fell in love with blue, maybe that was an excuse for wearing all things blue denim.

Every skirt, every blouse, every trouser I wore was blue. Powder blue and midnight blue used to be my favourite combinations. I also used pink or purple the lightest shade you could find with the trousers or skirts.

Purple kind of came in later in life. Pastel shades always in every color is the shade I wore.

I remember going for an interview with IBM wearing a powder blue chiffon sari. The guys who interviewed me complemented on my choice of color and style. I got the job right away.

For my Pre-Doctoral degree interview at the university I wore a pearly pink outfit and and the got my seat against all odds.

My first public speaking exercise was in a pastel purple, I knew I was most comfortable in that color and it was pleasing on the yes. I had to stand for an hour and half to talk about mental health awareness to university students.

I met my husband to be for the first time wearing a powder blue outfit again. He loves the color, and always asks me to wear blue or pink.

When my son graduated as a doctor, a topper at the university level my sons, hubs and I all the four of us wore blue and our pictures were on the local newspaper. There are so many events that stand out in my memory, colorful memories.

When I first came to the city I currently live in, Bangalore I fell in love with Blue hydrangeas. I came for an interview and stayed here for always.

Pink roses were always my first love among flowers, but first love is not true love always. Waterlilies, blue, purple and pink became my specialty.

Then I met the blue daze (the cover image), a slice of heaven I named it. I remember taking a flower with me to show a designer the color I wanted. The designer begged me for the vine.

I love to use shades of copper, yellow orange and reds in may paintings as much as I love to use blue, purples and pinks.

Colors are the spice of life. I would never care for a life in monochrome.
Nature is full of colors and that makes it so exciting. I never tire of nature, the greens and the bouquet of colors makes life so amazing.
