The squirrels are back for another #squirrelsunday

The squirrels are cold and some like to huddle against a tree for warmth hoping for the winter to pass quickly.

Some use their tails to block the wind from freezing their backs while barely perching on small branches.

This one's strategy is to eat nonstop during the winter to create a huge fat layer to block out the cold.

I know I hid a Bic lighter around here somewhere... Maybe I can build a fire.

Darn it I think one of those smoking humans took it from me. Now I will have to warm up in a traditional way...

Maybe I'll just eat grass for energy... Sadly this wasn't working and the squirrel ended up losing weight and getting colder...

Better move fast before I freeze in place.

My last resort is leaf bedding as insulation. I'll stuff a bunch of this into a tree hollow and ride out the winter in there.

Yipes here comes a car!

Now I just have to defend my tree hollow from those crazy raccoons. They make terrible roommates anyway and they smell like trash.

That's all for now, thanks for looking :-)

But I guess that applies to any roommate really. I had a few that were worse than raccoons in college.

Really nice pictures. Nice story. I enjoyed so much. Thank you.

I managed to time my walk when they were all out and busy.
