You're going on a road trip across America or Canada for two months in an RV and can take any two people on the planet with you; who are they and why? Tell us about some of the places you want to see and why.
Greetings WEEKENDERS, first I would like to thank @galenkp for allowing the Weekend-Engagement concept to live on. It has helped me greatly, not only in staying engaged on this platform but also in thinking and writing about things I normally would not have. Cheers for getting me out of my comfort zone.
Who are my companions
After sifting through a long catalog of people I greatly admire, I whittled down my list to two of history’s greats to take that RV ride with; Jacques Fresco and Nikola Tesla. So why Fresco? Why Tesla?
Tesla
I will start with the person at the top of my list. In a previous post, I had expressed that if I were able to invent anything it would be the ability to harness free energy and make it available globally. Tesla is one of the few people in recorded history who is reported to have harnessed free energy. And while many have relegated such stories to the utterances of conspiracy theorists, I will assume that Tesla did indeed create such a device or at the very least tap into a particular frequency that made the harnessing of free energy possible.
On that RV ride, I would ask him to assist me in tapping into this knowledge source so that I can make said knowledge available globally. I would tell him that this is my primary interest because I strongly believe that it will do much to solve many of the ills of our world. This is from, alleviating poverty, to reducing or even alleviating much of the conflicts going on for fossil fuels.
On that RV trip I would definitely want to see the natural beauty of the US; from Niagara Falls to the Grand Canyon, to the Giant Sequoias, and even the beautiful Great Lakes. My final stop would of course be his lab where I would inquire into some of his remarkable inventions. That is assuming I have the mental capacity to grasp any of it.
In addition, I would ask him if some of his inventions were undermined because they were disruptive, and would thus cause many powerful men to lose money. If he answered in the affirmative, as I think he would. I would tell him to inform me on how best I could make the knowledge of free universal energy available without coming under the microscope of the powers that be.
Jacques Fresco
Here is another inventor. He died just a few years ago at the young age of 101 years. This self-taught futurist put forward the idea of designing an alternative future where, through technology, we could dig humanity out of the existential quagmire it currently finds itself.
Fresco’s initiative:
presents a new socio-economic model utilizing science and technology toward social betterment to achieve a sustainable civilization of abundance for all.
This would take place in a resource-based economy where people use the resources for human development as opposed to greed and war.
Fresco had been working on this project for about 70 years up to his death. He did not see his project become a reality, and I want to know why. I would ask him about this at his home in Venus, Florida where he has built a prototype of the project. I would also want to know, how it was possible to make this a reality given that so much of what is motivating us as people is greed.
I am aware that he proposed that the project could likely be implemented after a societal collapse. But then, can we really get people on board with these ideas if they are struggling to survive after said collapse.
I chose Fresco because I think that his ideas are the answers to many of the global ills. Imagine designing sustainable cities like the ones Fresco proposed and fitting them with free energy. I am sure that there would be much to say about integrating these two concepts in a round table talk between the three of us. The success of such a coupling would, in my humble opinion, make for a world that is far better than the one we have now.
It is for this and other reasons that I have chosen these giants to accompany me on an RV ride.

Great choices, can you imagine those conversations? They would likely blow your mind and having 2 months with these great minds? Well I can imagine that it would completely change your life!
Unfortunately, it is only a dream. I will continue to imagine though. thanks for stopping by.
Dreams are good. Life would be really drab and boring without them. Doubt kills more dreams than failure ever will. One of my favourite quotes. Legendary minds like Tesla never let their doubts stop them (and I'm sure that they had loads), we shouldn't either.
What a pair of travelling companions. I think I would be awestruck.
One thing is for sure you would learn heaps. Even with the scenery as you move around, they would be explaining their visions.
Great choices Nick!
