Saturday logs | temple visit and Korean grocery shopping

These past few weekends, I'm glad that I don't spend it for work anymore. Our closing of 2024 accounting records is substantially done waiting for finalization. So for this weekend, Im out basking the sun. 1000013535.png

Temple visit

My parents were planning to visit the temple at around 2pm to practice the so called "kia-ki". I was interested so I joined them to the temple. Now I understand why people seeking for answers go to temples- because somehow, you find answers.

There's this one practice I learned this afternoon- it's called "Zhu zhiam". For this activity, you choose one stick among the many numbered stick. Each number correspond to an answer, which is also categorized by topic (marriage, future, legal, business, or travel). But of course prior to starting any of the practice, you must offer a prayer and ask a question. 1000013238.jpg 1000013240.jpg

I know it may or may not be accurate, but this is believed to be a message from God, especially for people who are confused or is seeking for some advice.

According to a conversation from one of the visitors, her purpose of visiting the temple is to cure her insomnia. Because of the calm and peaceful feeling inside the temple, mind problems vanished.

After a few hours, we bid our farewell and left the temple.

Korean grocery shopping

My mom was craving for some teokboki soup so we stopped by a Korean grocery store.

This shop offers all of the Korean products like ramen, ice cream, beers, coffee and tea products, Korean rice and a few vegetables. They even have skincare products available.

I bought a kilo of kimchi because it's been a while since I had them in our fridge. And I just want to compare the taste of my home made kimchi versus store bought ones. As it turns out, it taste the same.

After our quick grocery run, we went home. I cooked the teokboki soup my mom requested and ate our dinner. 1000013247.jpg 1000013252.jpg 1000013251.jpg 1000013249.jpg 1000013255.jpg

It was a lovely day, indeed.

That's it for today's blog. See you in my next one!

Sending some love and light
