Over time, Nigeria has proven itself to be an adequate place for crypto to thrive. Yes, a lot of scams arise thanks to this, but they are only due to people's knowledge that most Nigerians are intrigued and greedy.
I read a few days ago about how Nigeria currently has the second-highest P2P transactions in the world with a weekly transaction of $8 million, the US having the highest transactions.
The first thing that came to my mind when I saw that figure, unfortunately, is a lot of scammers are at work. I'm an unfortunate unbeliever in much good coming from Nigeria, and anyone who lives here probably feels the same. But that's not the point of this post.
Currently, everyone has an opinion about crypto in Nigeria, asides from maybe little children and some integral individuals, everyone has something to say about crypto when asked.
Their response may not always be good, but they have a response nonetheless. To me, I see that as a good thing. Regardless of how bad some people think crypto is, at least they know about it.
The next step would be to change the minds of a lot of people, but we all know how hard that has proven to be. So, why not show them instead?
This has nothing to do with the fraudster proof of wealth through luxury but through simple things like a Hive withdrawal.
I strongly believe Hive can trend in Nigeria and while I intend on writing another post about How Hive can Help Nigerians, for now, I'll just stick to why Hive is the best option.
Hive is a lot easier to understand than many other cryptos out there. Take this from me, I hardly have the patience to understand things and so far I understand how Hive works to a large extent.
A lot of us started Hive with nothing and so far many of us have gotten a lot out of Hive. I've gotten enough funds to buy a laptop and a phone from Hive, so I can say this boldly.
This makes Hive easy. Many people hate initial investments. I know this because I've been in Network Marketing. The moment they ask "how much do I need to start?", your answer better be "nothing" or you're going to start convincing this person that the earth is round and birds fly.
We love free money. That's what Hive has been for me, free money. Although a lot of people would beg to differ, saying I spend a lot of time here, I engage, I write and sometimes even do some research, yes.
However, Hive or no Hive, I would still spend this much time or more on social media. I would still have to do some research and know about things, so why not get paid for my knowledge?
During my active days on Facebook, I was an avid writer. I wrote almost as much as I do now for absolutely no gain. All I got were likes and ignorant opinions from people who didn't even matter. Now, I do the same thing, engage with amazing people, learn some of the most mind-blowing things I have ever imagined and get some money out of it.
What Nigerian wouldn't like this?
Someday, I would like to try to find time to get one of these Twitter influencers on Hive. I have no idea how I'll do it, but I will try. With just one of them here, we could see an inflow of many more Nigerians. It would be great to see Hive trending on Nigerian Twitter or whatever location your VPN takes you to.
This sounds like a Martin Luther King dream, but I know we can make it happen. Hive can save a lot of Nigerians the way it saved me.

The innovative that blockchain and Crypto could bring especially a project like hive would have even more impact than most places in the world. I just think government are going to stifle a lot of these innovations. Hopefully not.

Not Hive. They can't stop Hive. It hasn't gotten to their face yet.

I really think Hive (and Leofinance) should be pushed in Nigeria. I have interacted with a few from your country on here, all wonderful people.
How can we help to promote this to those in your area? What can we do to help?
There is a fabulous opportunity here to change the lives of thousands while also expanding our community. The more who are involved, the more resilient we become.
Gave a big upvote to help get some exposure for this topic. Thanks for sharing it and help us to spread the world about what is taking place here.

I think the solution is Twitter. If it trends there and people can understand how it works and find interesting posts to engage with, I don't see why it can't attract many Nigerians.
I'll leave it open to the Hive Naija community and get their response.
Thank you so much for giving me exposure, I always appreciate the support.

It will only be the next big thing if the crypto entrepreneurs like @k-banti actually increase their Hive Power or share in the network instead of dumping their earnings on the market.

I totally agree with you Brettpullen. I wish to find myself powering up all my earnings at the moment. But Hive is the reason I'm still a free man. Got myself in some unfortunate situation and Hive has been my only means to raise money to buy myself peace of mind. Hopefully before August I'd start powering up all my earnings and also buy more Hive with my own pocket money. Thanks for calling my attention to this. I appreciate 👌🏽💯💯
Good job handling your business young King.
Thank you!
We have a lot of crypto big guns here. @nonsowrites @belemo and all. There's so much potential so I know more people will get involved and once it sticks with the general system, it'll stick.

Its a very distinct possibility but I think it will require quite a lot of effort from everyone involved.
For unknown reasons, many people are resistant to the idea of using social media and earning from it. It is one of the most perplexing things ever.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
They're not resistant. They don't understand and sometimes, too greedy. The solution is Twitter as far as I know. I'll bring it up with other Hive naija members and see what we can do about it.

That is great. I just got an email that if I would give my keys to a wealthy Nigerian prince who had millions of dollars that he could not touch yet because he was in hiding, he would give me a lot of money when he recouped his riches . I'm gonna be rich.

Yeah, don't send anything to that person. They're the reason Nigeria has such a terrible reputation

The concept of free money e is common here in Bangladesh among people and I have shared this concert with couple of friends and colleagues, most of them asked me about how much they need to join here. But the concept of spending some time rather spending time in Facebook is the key for any of the users to accept the using Hive for better future and people adopting more here in Bangladesh as well. as it is a comparative anyone find hive worthy as in other social media they are spending time in vain. thanks for sharing the concept and information of Nigeria

Not only Nigerians ... I live in Europe, and also for me, Hive has been very good. And I know I´m not the only European person who got funds out of Hive that we wouldn´t have had if it wasn´t for Hive. Fund to buy necessary things like food. Funds to buy a new phone, a new camera, a new laptop. Some furniture. Al things that I couldn´t have done without Hive.
