During the AMA, it was mentioned about LEO with 100K users. I would presume that is monthly active users (MAU). It is a 10x over the current goal of 10K. It is also a significant move higher from the present 2K or so we currently see.
To many, this will seem like an impossible number. On the surface, it might be. As a social media platform, we know Hive is stagnent. There is lilttle (no) growth with regards to users.
For this reason, the idea of Leo changing things might seem absurd.
There are a couple ways to look at this. In this article I will touch upon both, hoping to provide insight into where things can be.

Leo with 100K Users
100K seems like a big number.
That said, it is nothing, When it come to the online world, that is a meaningless level. A platform with that type of activity is not on anyone's radar.
To contrast, Bluesky is getting a lot of attention, being a promotion of the media. It recently achieved 25 million users. That is a more impressive number.
But guess what....
When it comes to social media, that is still a rounding error. Google and Meta operate in the multi-billions. Even X is over 600 million. There are Chinese applications with billions.
Hopefully this frames things for Leo.
A user base of 100K is a nothing burger. That many could leave the other platforms and nobody would notice.
AI Platform
It will come as no surprise that I think much of the future is tied to AI. If Leo incorproates this into hts platform, we see an evneue that is much different than social media.
The ability to combine the two really enhances the potential of the services provided.
One advantage is Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG). This provides the ability to get answers that are not out of date. It also can reference information not in the model, ensuring more reliable generation.
100K monthly users will increase the data significantly. Social media is a powerful feeder system for a vector database.
Here is where things can get interesting. By promoting Leo as an AI platform, we have a different service that is offered. Of course, as more sign on, the amount of data feeds the model, increasing the accuracy.
Again, we are in a field where the numbers are overwhelming.
ChatGPT is over 500 million users. Grok was just opened to the X user base, likely to push the numbers into the hundreds of millions in a few months. Then we have Meta, Anthropic, and a host of other models that people are visiting daily.
All of this, at a minimum, could pull from Google search.
Crypto People
Crypto people like to talk about Web 3.0 but do most of their engagement on Web 2.0 platforms.
It is likely their entry into AI is the same, focusing upon the models put out by Big Tech.
It is time to start catering to this audience by providing services they could use. AI is still in its infancy, thus being able to enter at the onset. Smaller models will find value in the marketplace as time passes.
As we saw, they are not willing to shift their social media activities (for the most part). The reality is most want to talk about Web 3.0 as opposed to using it. This is even true with a fair portion of the Hive userbase.
AI is a different animal. People are concerned about their data and what it is feeding. Some are starting to latch onto the idea of something other than a world dominated by Big Tech. To achieve this, we need to start the process by focusing our eyeballs on models outside what Silicon Valley builds.
Crypto people, at least some, should be open to this idea. It is not the hardest sell in the world.
Again, when looking at an online population of around 5.5 billion, 100K is an insignificant number.
We are going to see a lot of AI models achieve this level. Leo needs to ensure it is one of them.
Posted Using InLeo Alpha
In fact, if we take this number to a Web 2.0 social network, these are very ridiculous numbers.
INLEO does have potential, there is a great challenge ahead, but I believe that the possibility of having this number of users could be a reality.
Potential and $2 will get you a cup of coffee (but not at Starbucks).
We need more than that.
Yep, you're right about that.
I thought LEO had this grand plan to increase the MAU to 10K? Has that goal been reached?
I dont know. I think the Dash integration is going well and bringing on new users but I dont know how many or where the stats are at.
My point is social media isnt the path to higher numbers. AI services is what will attract people. By now we have to realize people arent going to leave X or Facebook for Hive.
I wasn't sure.. I just figured y'all wouldn't thinking 100K until the 10K MAU was reached.
Well that would be part of the process from a numerical standpoint. However, going after 10K for social media features versus 100K for AI services is completely different in my opinion.
The latter offers a much wider field that is open to change. Social media has people set in their ways.
Inleo keeps growing and expanding. 2025 will be interesting 🦁
We need a lot more than social media features to be honest. That is why I keep beating the AI drum. I know you are sold on it.
Yeah really started to understand why we neeed this! Its gonna be crucial for us going forward.
I totally agree with you. The game needs to change. Everyone seems complacent as far as Hive is concerned. We need to support LEO AI as much as possible. How can ordinary users help? Many companies hire AI trainers, I know. The team should be more open to let the users be aware of how they can help.
The support starts with data. That is the foundation for all these models.
How can we leverage on the userbase wrt this?
I'm just considering the Web4 idea, integrating blockchain technology and AI, introduced in this article.
Most people aren't even aware of (and not to mention using) Web3 at present, yet that article already looks forward to Web4. 🤯🤯😅

@savvytester Totally agrees with your content! so I just sent 1 IDD@rzc24-nftbbg! to your account on behalf of @savvytester.
I also find it funny how supposed web 3.0 people scream and cry on web 2.0 when their accounts are suspended, instead of migrating to a platform where their content is immutable.
shit?

Hmmm..
Build a web 3 platform...
Which caters to the interests of crypto people...
Who mostly use web 2 platforms...
Because that's where the audience is...
But this is a self-ful-filling prophesey
Perhaps if they left and took their audience to web 3
soon the audience would be there on web 3, instead of web 2
25 million people have flocked to Bluesky
Imagine if 25 million people flocked to Hive
Perhaps the crypto influencers should be the change they want to see...
