Hey guys,
On the Ukrainian-Russian war front, tensions are rising once again, and it seems that the conflict may escalate. In previous years, while the war between Russia and Ukraine continued, NATO and Russia both agreed that the war was primarily between those two countries. Yes, NATO was supporting Ukraine with weapons and financial aid, but these weapons were to be used strictly for defensive purposes.
However, this dynamic is starting to shift. Ukraine is now attacking targets on Russian soil and attempting to push further into Russia, though they have been unsuccessful so far. The likely reason for this is Russia's advances in Ukraine. The Ukrainians probably want to strike deep into Russia with NATO weapons to make the Russian people feel insecure and to force Russia to pull troops back to defend these targets.
Is this a good strategy? Sometimes, yes. The Russians, as the attackers, are the ones stretching their forces. But at the same time, after two and a half years of fighting, the hardest-hit party is, of course, Ukraine. The people are living in constant fear, war exhaustion is rising, and they know they can't win because Russia is stronger. This was something we knew all along.
For me, the war was never about Ukraine retaking Crimea. That is likely lost, and Donetsk and Luhansk are probably beyond recovery as well. The victory for Ukraine, in my view, would be if the war ended with a white peace — no more land taken by either side. Russia would have spent billions trying to win but, in the end, wouldn’t have expanded its territory. Ukraine’s resistance would show that even with NATO's indirect involvement, Russia could be stopped, and Putin would lose his image of invincibility.
Now, however, Ukraine wants to attack Russia with NATO missiles. Putin has said that if they do, it will mean NATO is at war with Russia, and he would retaliate against NATO countries. NATO is considering allowing Ukraine to use ballistic missiles, which could lead to a dangerous escalation.
This is not acceptable. Ukraine must use every weapon it has within its own territories to defend itself. Risking a world war won't make things better for Ukraine; it will make things worse. Ukraine could become the center of the fighting, leading to the near-total destruction of the country.
Do you remember what happened to Poland in WWII?
Let us all hope that the war won't escalate more.

Russia can end the war at any time by just leaving the Ukrainian territory agreed by both nations in 2003.
Yes but they don’t want 😂
And Ukraine also don't want to give up their independence and integrity as all Russian so-called
require full disarmament of Ukraine and for Russia to be the ones choosing the Ukrainian government and not the Ukrainian people. That's like saying because Iran sent missiles to Russia that Ukraine is at war with Iran. In war rules go bye bye and inflicting as much harm to the attacking force no matter what is the only answer EVER. They need to stop pussy footing around and just send the missiles. If Russia wants to escalate the war to involve nato I have a feeling no one would bat an eye and send everything to totally remove Russia from Ukraine for good.
Ukraine don’t have the power to say that to Iran. Yes if they want to escalate it no matter what they will find a reason to do it.

The problem is Russia does have missiles that can be used against any part of any city in Ukraine, their reaction to Ukraine bombing Russia could be shock and awe, indiscriminate bombing of Ukrainian cities. I think that is why NATO has been so adamant on Ukraine only using NATO weapons for defense. So far the bombing of civilian centers has been mild, yes, that is a hard thing to say when so many civilians have died but compare it with Baghdad or recently Gaza, and you will see the attacks have not been made without taking civilian deaths into consideration. I am not condoning Russia, but things are what they are. Militarily both sides have about the same philosophy, so I guess each side knows the consequences.
War is a beast with an independent will. Parties enter into war thinking they can manage the outcome. This has never been the case through history.
It may seem like nationalist egocentricity, but I think a lot hinges on the U.S. election. Fear of a Trump win may accelerate the West's willingness to green light Ukraine. If they don't do it now, and Trump wins, game over. I think Putin has always had his eye on this outcome also. With Trump looming as a possible victor, Putin just has to bide his time. With Trump in, support for Ukraine evaporates.
But let me repeat: War is a beast with an independent will. Everybody making a calculation and nobody in control.
Yes the US election can determine the outcome . I believe with all that is going on those elections are one of the most important in many decades
This fight has crawled for two and a half years now. This seems a bait for WW3, hoping it doesn't turn out so as it will be a historical deadly one.
Just pitying innocent Ukrainians for this inconveniences.
I like the term white peace. Definitely ideal. War messes with people so much that rational solutions aren't always supported. It's utter madness.
NATO seems willing to risk a wider war just to beat Russia? I guess? I will never understand these things. 🙁
NATO wants to prevent Russia from winning .
