Scarcity and Use Case .:. WorkerBee PH-Pool Week 179

Before we dive deep into the numbers in this BEE token mining report, I would like to address certain facts about the WORKERBEE and BEE tokens that maybe some of you aren't aware of...

The WORKERBEE token is a miner token which mines BEE tokens... The only way to get in possession of these tokens is to buy them on the market... There are no airdrops, there is no curation rewards, or anything similar... To get them, you have to buy them... If you check the circulating supply, you will notice that there are a bit more than 300K WORKERBEE tokens out there... Around 50K tokens are in ownership of the H-E team which was putting these tokens regularly on the market a few years ago, but they don't do that anymore! Will they do that or not, I don't know... But that is a significant amount of tokens that could hit the market... Imagine that as Mt.Gox of WORKERBEE (a bit worse 😃)...

The rest of the tokens, around 250K, are in the wallets of Hivians like you and me... Some are whales, others are small investors, etc. The price of the token fluctuated a lot, from under 1 HIVE, to the price which is atm (around 3 HIVE)... If I'm not wrong, we had the ATH in June this year, when it hit 8-9 HIVE!!!

Now comes the interesting part... WORKERBEE token is a governance token, which means that it has ANOTHER USE CASE besides being a miner token! Which makes a huge difference! If you want to run the Hive-Engine node, and you would like to compete with big boys, you will probably have to buy some WORKERBEE tokens and stake them... It's the same thing that's happening on HIVE and witnesses there... I have to say that I'm all for having a skin in the game if you want to be a representative of something, and witnesses are that! How can you promote a product that you are not using?

Because of all that I wrote, we have a situation in which a new WORKERBEE whale is forming that is buying up WORKERBEE tokens from the market... As supply is limited and scarce, it is obvious why the price goes up day by day!

Because of the higher WORKERBEE price, our APR in the pool looks very low... Why is that? Well, it's because I'm calculating that APR at the moment of creating this report, using the current prices of both tokens (WB and BEE)...

What does this mean to you, if you bought your tokens a few years ago for 1 HIVE? Absolutely nothing, as your APR is completely different than the one presented in this report... For example, if you bought your WORKERBEE tokens for 1 HIVE, your APR is actually 15% + 3% in the bonus tokens... And if you calculate all the profits, then you can add the difference between the current WB price and the price you bought it!

I hope this helps in better understand how this WB-BEE dynamics works... ;)

The WORKERBEE token is still high and people hesitate to buy more, and, understandably, there is not too much action on the markets... We didn't get any new members to the pool, but despite the high price, we got some additional delegations! Thanks, guys!!!

This week we mined 101 BEE tokens in total!!!

This POOL doesn't have fees and you get up to 20% MORE by delegating to it!

What about the bonus tokens?

You already know what game is my favorite game on HIVE... Of course, it's the Rising Star game, and I'm completely addicted to it... I play it on my computer, I play on my mobile phone when I'm out, and I'm doing math all the time... 😃 Calculating how much time I have until the end of the current mission, and which one should I start next, especially when I can't be online for some time... 2-hour mission? 3-hour mission? 😃 It's addictive! This week, I will distribute the record number of STARBITS tokens to the delegators!

There will be distributed 1500000 STARBITS tokens to the delegators of the pool as a bonus reward today!

As always, in the end, let's give the exact numbers for this week... There will be distributed 101 BEE tokens and 1.5M STARBITS tokens as a bonus... The APR (without the bonus) was 5.101%, and when we added the bonus it went up to 6.146%!

I have calculated the ROI approximately with medium prices for all tokens at the moment of creating this post... So, those numbers are valid if you bought WB and sold BEE tokens at the middle HiveEngine price...
