RE: Trends in international Finance - Crypto / Blockchain included

in LeoFinance4 years ago

Most of the society agrees that Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are not for everyday transactions (something we should discuss with the broader audience!),

This is not entirely true. There are a wide range of cryptocurrencies that perform differently and a huge chunk of them can facilitate day-to-day transactions. A typical example of hive is feeless and fast.

but what about central bank digital currencies? They could become a regulated, user-friendly digital alternative to traditional currencies. Several countries are on the verge of launching them

This defeats the purpose of decentralized which crypto is built on. There currently exist different digital channels to transact, however, they are not decentralized and the masses do not trust this central system because most lack transparency.

I agree to your first point, but we know that, most mainstream just knows BTC or maybe ETH - hence Hive and its value must be wider known (marketing .-)!).

Also agree to point two however gov wants to control and will regulate and try to centralize and create their own digital currencies - hope you are right masses do not trust the system and take their consequence. I have the feeling only they ignore transparancy as long as they are financially happy with the outcome.

True. However, hive is just a year old. There is plenty of time to grow. Growth occurs within this space quickly. I am optimistic about the growth of the hive network.

There is an issue of security and ownership which centralized systems can't provide and they've shown this over time: freezing of assets, censorship, etc. I think this will nudge people towards decentralized blockchain. Institutions are already following the trend, the people will too.

True and agree - hope we can make Hive and Leo much much bigger - still most undervalued cryptos out there

You are sure right it is. It will take a collective effort and some patience. I strongly believe in this community. We have visionaries. Things will fall into place soon
