He may not have gone to a war zone (which was a thing a few years B4), but he didn't wimp out and complain about it. He sucked it up and went on to fulfill his obligation. It helped that it was also at a time when people thought as he did.
For sure. Dude was one of my favorite entertainers when I was a kid. That’s saying a lot coming up from where I was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York.
Even though for you and me he was Fat Elvis and dressed like Captain Marvel (from that time), his music transcended ethnicity and nationality. I remember Sandro de America: Argentina's Elvis.
OMG Sandro was one of my late mother’s favorites.
