Elon Musk will abandon his traditional phone number and become an X-only user

In order to boost the use of X, Elon Musk will stop using his phone number to start using X for all his communications.
Popular entrepreneur and mogul, "Elon Musk", is doubling down on the calling functionality on the social networking platform "X". As Musk recently indicated on the platform, the mogul will begin exclusively using X to communicate via calls and text messages.
"In a few months I will stop using my phone number and will only use X for text messages and audio and video calls." Elon Musk expressed on Friday.
Notably, in October 2023, X launched an initial version for premium users to make video calls and calls. Since then, Musk has fervently advocated that X will become an "app for everything," displacing traditional phones.
Additionally, Elon Musk indicated last year that users would not need a phone number for these special features, which will be available on Apple's iOS, Google's Android and personal computers.
After changing Twitter's name to X, Musk signaled his intention to transform the social networking platform into a "Superapp," offering a wide range of messaging, social networking and even peer-to-peer payments services.

Notably, Elon Musk is betting big on transforming the X platform into a profitable rival to China's "WeChat," which acts as a one-stop shop serving users' daily needs. To do so, Musk must make his social networking platform the main interface for users with the world, persuading people to abandon traditional phone calls and communicate through X.
On the other hand, in recent months Elon Musk has intensified his quest to absorb traffic from other rival apps.
As a reference, with the aim of displacing YouTube, Musk incited in December the influencer "Mr. Beast", to upload his content on X. In addition, "Linda Yaccarino," the social network's chief executive, has closed numerous deals with famed sports news anchor "Jim Rome" to post content exclusively on X.
Additionally, on Thursday X announced an exclusive partnership with World Wrestling Entertainment to showcase exclusive 5-minute quick fights on the platform.
