Minimalism Is an Art

We often find ourselves in the crossroad having so many options and thus we cannot focus our energy on what is really required. A simple example is that if you have too many clothes, your thought process gets cluttered verses if you have less number of clothes you can decide very soon on what to wear.

Similarly if you have too many investments or assets, you will always worry about some or the other. Instead if you have fewer investments, you cab continue investment in that and achieve your desired goal. In simple terms minimalism means owning fewer, high quality items which will serve the purpose. Minimalism also means that we should invest in experince, hobbies and personal development rather than owning more and more things.

And that's why Minimalism is an art and nor all can able to do it. We all want to have more and more things, Investments etc because of FOMO. Instead our focus should be on fewer but quality items. I am not a minimalist, but I am trying to become one. The problem is you cannot be a minimalist alone, as a family you need to become a minimalist otherwise it doesn't work.

Even if you are minimalist, your family are not then eventually you are in the middle which is again not a minimalist person. I feel there is a advantage of being a minimalist because your time is reduced as well as you have more energy. You get time for personal development as well as you are more confident. I am not saying that everyone should be minimalist but we should try to become one slowly and steadily.

And not everyone can become a minimalist too. Since it's an art very few are able to achieve that and it takes years of practice to be able to achieve it.
