Crypto has nearly always been a kind of show business. Recently it has become something like a stand-up comedy, a one-man show -- and the man is (surprise!) Mr. Elon Musk!
Well, actually, some core things in crypto remained unaffected -- because math doesn't give a fuck about what Mr. Musk twits. But on the other hand, few people don't fall asleep when Mr. Vitalik gives his math talk shows.
Most part of the crypto still listens to what Mr. Musk, Mr. Pomp, Mr. Novogratz, Mr. Saylor, etc. says, twits or farts. It's not necessarily bad per se, but Mr. Mask managed to reduce it ad absurdum. He (maybe, unwillingly) made crypto look ridiculous.
What the fuck "store of value" is the shit that follows one man's twits? Do you think BNB or XRP value more than top companies of the world? Do you believe that Doge, Shiba, Puppy, and similar shit have any value? Oh c'mon, rlly??!
However, I don't blame Mr. Elon for anything. Panem et circenses, memes and Lambos is all that most folks want from crypto -- and Mr. Elon Show actually does a good supply job! After all, it's still an open question if crypto can ever offer anything except memez, lamboz, and some geeky math delights.
