It seems complicated and an act of courage to create a series about a possible life of Jesus Christ in our times because we live in the crystal generation, offended by everything, but that does not limit the producers of this series who, under this very interesting premise, achieve grab the viewer's attention from the very first chapter.

Al-Masih, is a young man who begins to preach the word of God as Jesus did at the time. The scene is in the Middle East and manages to capture the attention of 2,000 followers who follow him to the West Bank, on the border with Israel. El trabajo que hicieron los productores de esta serie lo respeto mucho ya que me hicieron engancharme rápidamente cosa que no suele sucederme, de hecho no soy muy fan de las series porque para mí siempre hay mucha historia de relleno e innecesaria pero sin duda alguna Mesías cumple su función y también da mucho de qué hablar después de verla.
Discutir la serie bajo dos perspectivas, religiosa y analítica sería un placer para mí. Para algunos Jesús ha sido el hombre más importante y famoso de toda la historia, para otros solo un charlatán que conocía el arte del engaño y que desafío con intereses políticos al imperio romano dejando la primera fuerte fractura para su futuro desmoronamiento. Sea como sea la historia tiene un halo de misterio y la posible llegada de un Mesías como lo cuenta esta serie no es la excepción.

Whether you are religious or not, history offers us something beyond entertainment. It gives us what to talk about for the doubts generated. I'm not completely sure if there will be a second season or not, but in my opinion things ended in the most respectful way possible for both creeds, leaving a trail of doubts that can only be resolved under speculation.

La fe juega un papel fundamental en muchas culturas, es un importante poder que muchas veces ha sido mal empleado creando una ola de terrorismo y maldad sin precedentes. La radicalización y aislamiento por fundamentalismos ortodoxos no son un juego en nuestra sociedad y es un problema grave que debemos enfrentar como civilización. La guerra por religión es un tema que hemos vivido como humanidad muchas veces en nuestra historia sin darnos cuenta que la única base de una religión es el amor y la fraternidad, cosa que dista mucho de la violencia y la guerra que vivimos incluso en nuestros días.
Mesías es una serie que se disfruta mucho más si la vez desde un punto de vista social o incluso antropológico. Las consecuencias de este suceso para mi fueron bien representadas y la serie fluye con bastante certeza en la mayoría de los casos pero para producir cierto halo de misterio se debió recurrir a fuerzas sobrenaturales que dan a la trama más fuerza en mi opinión. Altamente recomendada.
Yo esta serie la deje a un lado, no me intereso verla y creo que tampoco funciono muy bien. No se, en ese momento que se estreno estaba en otros asuntos, quería ver otro tipo de series y nunca he visto ni el episodio numero 1.

I really like this one but then someone on here said they are not going to make a season 2. I don't know if that is true or not but I sincerely hope that person was wrong especially since season 1 ended on a cliffhanger!
Yeah, after writing this review I read that and I guess the series was canceled cuz of many morons felt offended by this and actually I didn't see any wrong or offensive on this, however you we live in age of offended people.
I was suspecting the same thing. You can't do anything these days without people getting offended. Was there not enough diversity in it or too few LGBT people in it? or was it the Muslim bombings? It's TV people? It's not meant to be a reflection of reality. Sheesh.
