Hello everyone, I hope you are great today, this time I want to share with you a new review of a series that I consider very important for the present. It is a series that I remember very fondly, although I saw it a few years ago. I feel that it is one of those stories that is worth reliving over and over again and that I always recommend, I will tell you about my opinions of the series: Anne with an E. This series is based on the classic Anne of Green Gables novel, this is an adaptation that was done by Netflix a few years ago and manages to capture the essence of the original material while updating it in a very unique way for a much more modern audience...

The story follows Anne Shirley, a 13 year old redheaded orphan with a truly overflowing imagination who is adopted by mistake by the Cuthbert brothers, in the late 19th century, what starts as a misunderstanding turns into a beautiful family relationship that will change the lives of everyone involved and many people within their own town.... The first thing that impresses me about this series is Amybeth's impeccable performance as Anne, I think all her energy, charisma and emotional depth give a character as special as she is such a unique and irreplaceable vision.... Anne is a witty, very talkative and sometimes reckless girl, but she is also a deeply sensitive girl, the actress manages to convey all these facets with a truly amazing naturalness. I would risk to say that she was the perfect choice for this character, I think all the energy she manages to transmit to the viewers is outstanding.

Hola a todos, espero que se encuentren genial en el día de hoy, en esta ocasión quiero compartirles una nueva reseña de una serie que considero que es muy importante para la actualidad.. Es una serie que recuerdo con mucho cariño, aunque la vi hace algunos años. Siento que es de esas historias que vale la pena revivir una y otra vez y que siempre suelo recomendar, les hablaré de mis opiniones de la serie: Anne with an E. Esta serie está basada en la clásica novela de Anne of Green Gables, esta es una adaptación que fue realizada por Netflix hace algunos años y logra capturar la esencia del material original mientras lo actualiza de una manera muy única para una audiencia mucho más moderna..

La historia sigue a Anne Shirley, una huérfana pelirroja de 13 años con una imaginación realmente desbordante que es adoptada por error por los hermanos Cuthbert, a finales del siglo XIX, lo que comienza como un malentendido se convierte en una hermosa relación familiar que cambiara la vida de todos los involucrados y de muchas personas dentro de su mismo pueblo.. Lo primero que impresiona de esta serie es la impecable actuación de Amybeth como Anne, creo que toda su energía, carisma y profundidad emocional le dan a un personaje tan especial como esté una visión tan única e irreemplazable.. Anne es una chica ingeniosa, muy parlanchina y algunas veces imprudente, pero también es una chica profundamente sensible, la actriz logra transmitir todas estas facetas con una naturalidad realmente asombrosa. Me arriesgaría a decir que fue la elección perfecta para este personaje, creo que toda la energía que logra transmitir a los espectadores es sobresaliente.

This series tackles very interesting topics such as racism, individual identity and bullying, but it does it in a really organic way, and that goes great with the era in which the series takes place... It doesn't feel forced, it just comes naturally out of each characters experience and the different social realities of that time... one of the things also that stands out quite a bit is the cinematography, I think it's really amazing. All the landscapes of the island are portrayed with incredible beauty... it's full of vivid colors and lots of natural light... every scene looks like a painting. It's worth mentioning that the production design and costumes are also very appropriate, they completely transport us to rural Canada in the late 1800's..

Among other aspects I quite liked about the series is how the different human relationships are dealt with... the evolution of the bond between Anne and her adoptive parents, Matthew and Marilla, is especially touching. It even brought a few tears to my eyes, I think the performances are really superb, they are a couple of older siblings, but they share such a beautiful brotherly love for each other.... The way they transmit it to Anne, although sometimes they are wrong most of the time, they give us many valuable lessons and you can really appreciate the affection between the characters... Anne's various friendships, especially those of Diana and Gilbert, are also brilliantly developed, the series perfectly captures all the intensity of teenage relationships, with all their dramas and moments of deep connection.... It's very interesting to find a story that explores teenage relationships in a way that is realistic, but not too contrived or awkward.

Esta serie aborda temas muy interesantes como el racismo, la identidad de cada persona y el bullying, pero lo hace de una manera realmente orgánica, y que va de maravilla con la época en la que se desarrolla la serie.. No se siente forzado, sino que surge naturalmente de cada experiencia de los personajes y de las distintas realidades sociales de ese momento.. una de las cosas también que destaca bastante es la fotografía, pienso que es realmente asombrosa. Todos los paisajes de la isla son retratados con una belleza increíble... está llena de colores vivos y mucha luz natural.. cada escena parece una pintura. Cabe mencionar que el diseño de producción y el vestuario también son muy adecuados, nos transportan completamente a la Canadá rural de finales de 1800..

Entre otros aspectos que me gustó bastante de la serie es como se abordan las distintas relaciones humanas.. la evolución del vínculo entre Anne y sus padres adoptivos, Matthew y Marilla, es especialmente emotiva. Incluso llegó a sacarme algunas lágrimas, pienso que las actuaciones son realmente soberbias, son una pareja de hermanos mayores, pero que se comparten un amor fraternal tan lindo.. La manera en que lo transmiten a Anne, aunque algunas veces se equivocan la mayor parte del tiempo, nos dan muchas enseñanzas valiosas y se aprecia mucho el cariño entre los personajes.. Las distintas amistades de Anne, especialmente las de Diana y Gilbert, también están brillantemente desarrolladas, la serie captura perfectamente toda la intensidad de las relaciones adolescentes, con todos sus dramas y momentos de conexión profunda.. Es muy interesante encontrar una historia que explore las relaciones entre adolescentes de una manera realista, pero que no sea demasiado artificial o incómoda.

Another strong point of the series is how it handles some flashbacks to explore the past of some characters, specifically Anne's somewhat traumatic past... she grew up in an orphanage and was with some abusive families, and these moments are really sad... they help to understand a little bit all the resilience and overflowing imagination that is characteristic of this character. All the writing in general I found quite ideal, they have some really good and sparkling dialogues, as well as moments of humor that serve to balance the more emotional moments... All of Anne's poetic phrases, which are taken directly from the books, are integrated in a really natural way between the conversations... it's touching to see how this character is changing and maturing as time goes on, and how her ability to use words also improves.

If I had to point out any aspect that I didn't like so much, I would say that sometimes the pace gets a little slower than necessary, and they take a little while to develop the main plot. However, I consider these to be minor details, which do not tarnish the overall quality of this series at all, it strikes a balance between being a family series, but also a series to tackle various complex issues, and one that will take the trouble to teach you things, to make you see different thoughts in many ways. I really think it can be enjoyed at any age, because it doesn't underestimate the intelligence of its audience... you can be a teenager and enjoy it, or also be an adult and also get attached to these characters. That's a big plus.

Otro punto fuerte de la serie es como maneja algunos flashbacks para explorar el pasado de algunos personajes, en específico el pasado un poco traumático de Anne.. ella creció en un orfanato y estuvo con algunas familias abusivas, y estos momentos son realmente tristes.. ayudan a entender un poco toda la resiliencia y la imaginación desbordante que es característica de este personaje. Toda la escritura en general me pareció bastante ideal, tienen algunos diálogos muy buenos y chispeantes, como también momentos de humor que sirven para equilibrar los momentos más emotivos.. Todas las frases poéticas de Anne, que son sacadas directamente de los libros, se integran de una manera realmente natural entre las conversaciones.. es emotivo ver como este personaje va cambiando y madurando conforme pasa el tiempo, y como también su habilidad para usar las palabras también mejora.

Si tuviera que señalar algún aspecto que no me haya gustado tanto, diría que a veces el ritmo se pone un poco lento más de lo necesario, y tardan un poco en desarrollar la trama principal. Sin embargo, considero que estos son detalles menores, que no empañan para nada la calidad general de esta serie, logra un equilibrio entre ser una serie familiar, pero también una serie para abordar diversos temas complejos, y que se dará el trabajo de enseñarte cosas, de hacerte ver distintos pensamientos de muchas maneras. Realmente creo que puede disfrutarse a cualquier edad, ya que esta misma no subestima la inteligencia de su audiencia.. puedes ser un adolescente y disfrutarla, o también ser un adulto y también encariñarte con estos personajes. Esto es un gran punto favor.

The soundtrack was also outstanding, I think it is perfect to complement many of the scenes, I think this is always a good thing to say... Among other things that I found interesting is the lack of classic clichés in some specific points of the plot... this series takes care not to simplify things or its characters. I guess even the “bad” people, have quite a bit of depth and nuance. It is good to see how they are not flat and actually evolve throughout the seasons, the decision to cancel this series after the 3 seasons it had was certainly very disappointing.... There were several unresolved plot threads and characters left aside, whose development would have been more fascinating... but unfortunately it was all over too quickly in my opinion.

The ending manages to satisfactorily close some main plots, however, I don't feel that it was enough to make the series shine completely as it was meant to be.. this series is really a work that deserves much more recognition... Although its fandom is quite large there are still many people who don't know about it and it seems to me that they are missing out on a lot. All its combination of visual beauty, powerful performances and some universal themes that are always good to see are ideal to give you a unique experience, far beyond being a simple adaptation, this series manages to expand and enrich much more the story of the books.. at least in the seasons that came out.

They add new and interesting characters that undoubtedly give a special touch to the whole narrative and that many people are grateful to have known... I think it's a strong reminder of the importance of imagination, kindness and perseverance in the face of any kind of adversity.

La banda sonora también me pareció destacable, creo que es perfecta para complementar muchas de las escenas, creo que esto siempre es bueno decirlo.. Entre otras cosas que me parecieron interesantes es la falta de clásicos clichés en algunos puntos específicos de la trama.. esta serie se encarga de no simplificar las cosas ni a sus personajes. Supongo que incluso las personas "malas", tienen bastante profundidad y matices. Es bueno ver como no son planos y realmente evolucionan a lo largo de las temporadas, la decisión de cancelar esta serie después de las 3 temporadas que tuvo fue sin duda muy decepcionante.. Quedaron varios hilos argumentales sin resolver y personajes apartados, cuyo desarrollo hubiera sido más fascinante.. pero lastimosamente todo se terminó muy rápido a mi parecer.

El final logra cerrar de manera satisfactoria algunas tramas principales, sin embargo, no siento que fuera suficiente para hacer que la serie brillara completamente como estaba destinada a ser.. esta serie es realmente una obra que merece mucho más reconocimiento.. Aunque su fandom es bastante grande aún hay muchas personas que no la conocen y me parece que se pierden de mucho. Toda su combinación de belleza visual, actuaciones poderosas y algunos temas universales que siempre son buenos de ver son ideales para darte una experiencia única, mucho más allá de ser una simple adaptación, esta serie logra expandir y enriquecer mucho más la historia de los libros.. por lo menos en las temporadas que salieron.

Agregan personajes nuevos e interesantes que sin duda dan un toque especial a toda la narrativa y que muchas personas están agradecidos de haber conocido.. Creo que es un fuerte recordatorio de la importancia de la imaginación, la bondad y la perseverancia frente a cualquier tipo de adversidad.

I really enjoyed the story of Anne and her friends... I think the series can make many people reflect on their own prejudices and the importance of believing in yourself, I think it is always very good to learn about empathy and acceptance... It is not afraid to show the harshness of life, but always maintains a core of optimism and hope that as the chapters progress becomes comforting... it is very nice to see these characters grow little by little season after season... if you are looking for a series that makes you feel, think and dream, well this is an excellent choice.

I give it a 9/10 rating. It's a touching adaptation that deeply brings out its source material while updating everything in a smart and sensitive way, I think it's one of the best things the Netflix platform currently has... Yo realmente quedé encantado con la historia de Anne y sus amigos.. Opino que la serie puede hacer que muchas personas reflexionen sobre sus propios prejuicios y la importancia de creer en ti misma, creo que es muy bueno aprender siempre sobre la empatía y la aceptación.. No teme mostrar la dureza de la vida, pero siempre mantiene un núcleo de optimismo y esperanza que conforme avanzan los capítulos se vuelve reconfortante.. es muy lindo ver a estos personajes ir creciendo poco a poco temporada tras temporada.. si buscas una serie que te haga sentir, pensar y soñar, pues esta es una excelente opción.

Yo le doy una calificación de 9/10. Es una adaptación conmovedora que hace resaltar profundamente a su material de origen mientras actualiza todo de manera inteligente y sensible, creo que es de las mejores cosas que tiene la plataforma de Netflix actualmente..
