Dhamaka
Genre - Thriller
Starting - Karthik Aryan, Mrunal Thakur, Amruta Subhash
To be very honest, the movie is not worth the time. But Karthik Aaryan did quite well. Loved Amrutas negative shaded role.
Talking about the story, it's a simple plot. A random person calls to a radio station telling them he is gonna bomb the Sea link. And eventually blasts the bridge. Karthik plays Arjun Pathak who is the only person the "Bomber" Wants to talk to. And it becomes a breaking news. Arjun being a former anchor takes up the news to get back the confidence of his boss played by Amruta.
Sounds interesting, but it is so cliche. Specially the whole idea. Media isn't good we all know nobody tells the truth, it's just the perspective. But doesn't mean Media Houses are dumb. Probably that's what is indirectly portrayed here apart from the actual plot.
It is a Havoc. Karthik aaryan as Arjun Pathak has to save the day. The entire story runs on this. But unfortunately the plot and movie is not able to survive just based on his performance. Mrunal thakur did well with her genuine acting. Screenplay has just been shabby. As though I'm watching some drama happening. And best part is they mention it Themselves. Totally unrealistic.
Director Ram Madhavani tried to adapt the Korean Movie The Terror Live but clearly the storyline isn't very grippy, the only thing I loved is thr fast pace of the movie. Direction was good, shot well. Overall, it's clearly either a One time watch or Not highly recommended.
I think some filmmakers must think a plot mainly it's realistic elements before bringing it to life specially when the genre is Thriller and it's about Terrorism.
Overall this movie is highly not recommended.
