Texturas y Desarrollo sensorial (Esp/Ing)

Desde que asistimos al Centro de Diagnóstico Integral me he quedado sorprendida por la variedad de ejercicios de estimulación temprana que le han realizado a Alma. La pequeña ha respondido de forma positiva a cada tarea y, además, se han despertado y agudizado sus sentidos.

Since attending the Comprehensive Diagnostic Center, I have been amazed at the variety of early stimulation exercises that Alma has been given. She has responded positively to each task and her senses have been awakened and sharpened.

Ahora Alma ha empezado a explorar el mundo a través del tacto, con manos y pies, por esa razón, los especialistas recomiendan no colocarle manoplas, medias y calzados a los bebés porque les impide apreciar diversidad de estímulos ya que la textura, consistencia y temperatura de los diferentes elementos se palpan.

Now Alma has begun to explore the world through touch, with hands and feet, for that reason, specialists recommend not to put mittens, socks and shoes on babies because it prevents them from appreciating a diversity of stimuli since the texture, consistency and temperature of the different elements can be felt.

En este sentido, la plastilina y la masa flexible se han convertido en una excelente opción para ejercitar movimientos como amasar y moldear. Alma ha reaccionado muy bien ante este material flexible, lo toma en sus manos observa sus diferentes colores (rojo, amarillo, verde y azul) y luego comienza a apretarlo. Sin duda, jugar con plastilina ha ayudado con su desarrollo cognitivo y aunque todavía no forma figuras reconocibles, se advierte que desea expresarse de forma a artística.

Al enfrentarse por vez primera a otro tipo de textura, la rechazó de inmediato. Ante esta eventualidad, recomendaron llevar a la niña a la playa para que jugara en la arena. Esa es una tarea que está pendiente.

Este desarrollo sensorial la ha estado preparando para la escritura, proceso que ha avanzado satisfactoriamente gracias a la pizarra mágica. Los garabatos se han convertido en una forma de comunicación, una manera de experimentar con otras herramientas. Estimular a un bebé es una tarea diaria, muchas veces, algunas condiciones de salud son consecuencia del ambiente y el contexto social. De allí la importancia de contar con atención especializada.
