Thanksgiving assignment.

My daughter got an assignment from school last weekend. I think it’s for Social Studies.

She brought a big piece of paper shaped like a feather. The assignment was to decorate this paper however you want with any possible materials except of edibles.

Well I got so excited 😆. I have so many materials sitting in our closet for years that I’m happy to get rid of.

Materials used.

Wiggle eyes

Glitter glue

Pipe cleaners

Feather shaped paper

Elmer’s white glue

Tape

Here is all the feathers from our class attached to the turkey by our teacher. Isn’t it great idea?

First thing my daughter did is she glued wiggle eyes. I don’t know why but kids love them.

Then she taped pipe cleaners in the middle of the paper

I helped her to design the feather like a tree. I think our materials kind of made it look like a Christmas tree🙈. Well, at least we had a lot of fun.

She wrote letter “T”, because she wanted to write “turkey”, but there wasn’t enough space for the whole word.

You can see we were very generous with the amount of glitter glue we applied.

She wanted to use all the colors we had, because she likes all these colorful glitter.

There was so much of glitter glue on our feather that it took long time for it to dry. Thankfully we had whole weekend before my daughter took this piece of art to school.
