FAST & FURIOUS

Some time ago while I was still quite young, my younger sister and I were daddy’s little pets, we always loved to follow my dad anytime he was going out because we would get nice treats, He would take us shopping, he would buy us clothes and really nice food from fancy restaurants.

On this particular day, my dad was about going out, trust my sister and I..we were already standing at the door waiting for my dad, we told him that we wanted to go with like we were some able bodied guards guarding him Lol, but he refused. He said he was going for a meeting and that kids were not allowed, Immediately he said that our faces became sad, he even bribed us with money but we refused and insisted on following.

Because he was running late, he called for my brother and told him to bring us to his office with his car, then he took a cab and left, finally mission accomplished, my sister and I couldn’t wait for all the sweet food that we would eat that day. We took our bath and waited for my brother to get ready, while we were waiting my mum came and called us to eat breakfast but we bluntly refused because we didn’t want to fill our stomach with soup and swallow.

When my brother was done eating, he said he was tired and that we should give some time rest, that was how my brother slept for two hours straight, I got very angry, took my mum’s phone and called my dad, he immediately told us to go and wake him up, which I did, finally he had his bath and off we went.

We entered the car, I sat at the front because I was the eldest, put on my seat belt, also put on a big smile on my face, my brother started the car, he began to drive while my sister and I was singing along with the song he played, we passed some shortcuts that we don’t normally pass but I didn’t bother and it didn’t cross my mind that that he was trying to avoid police because he didn’t have a driver’s license.

My brother too began to sing along, he got carried away by the music before we got a road that there was a police checkpoint he didn’t know, when it almost time for the police to check our car, that was when my brother knew what was happening, immediately he turned the car around, my sister and I began to shout “Blood of Jesus” we kept on shouting because a moving trailer was on the other lane and we were almost hit by it.

When the police saw the scene, they too entered their vehicle and began to pursue us, my brother zoomed off, infact it was as if we were acting fast and furious, they continued pursuing us but my brother didn’t give up, he followed a shortcut, the road was filled with water, with the speed he took that was how my brother splashed dirty water into a man’s car that was driving slowly on the road and the man was nice and neatly dressed, I was just praying that the police shouldn’t catch us neither should the man swear for us.

Finallyy, when the police lost us, we went straight home.. we couldn’t go to my dads office, and I was damned hungry at the same, that was how my brother called my dad and told him that something was wrong with car, Since we stopped following my dad everywhere he went.
