A very good evening from the cold dessert of Spiti, Himachal Pradesh, India. Today we will be exploring the cold dessert of Spiti at Batal. The cold and the ruthless climate of Spiti in its fullest can be seen in the photos below.
As we were exploring the area, we were welcomed by a passing snowstorm in this area. We could have been so much unlucky if that would’ve happened a few moments ago while we were on our way to the way and we could have been backed off.
Here we can see the shops in the Batal. The Batal is a small village in the Spiti Valley. Or we can see the only village in this area is Batal. There is one government rest house in this area and a few shops and dhaba.
The very famous Chacha Chachi Dhaba is also here. You can see that in the photos below the camps and the Dhaba below. This place is of really huge significance for the whole valley and is the only place for passing tourists and people who are looking for a stay.
This Chacha Chachi dhaba has received a lot of recognition throughout the country. Not only for the food and service they provide but also for a very special cause that is taking care of more than 20 people when this place was hit by a snowstorm.
The terrain itself as you can see in the photo above, is very dry and cold. The ruthless temperatures in this region is going to be a leading cause of the dry skin that I was getting here as soon as I visiting here.
In spite of this region being so ruthless and dry and cold, the beauty of this place is not at all comparable to any other place in the world. I highly recommend anyone and everyone to visit this place once a while.
