This Saturday, I visited one of the most popular tourist spots in my city, the Morro do Cristo. It is a place frequently visited by both locals and tourists, who are drawn to the panoramic view the location offers. It is a viewpoint relatively close to the city center, with an incredible view of much of the city, at an altitude of approximately 900 meters above sea level.
Another notable feature of this location is a chapel in the shape of a tower, at the top of which is a statue of Jesus Christ. Facing the city, He extends one hand, suggesting that He is blessing and protecting the people who live there. And perhaps that truly works, as Juiz de Fora is an excellent city, and I really enjoy living here.
Although I have lived in the city for some time, the last time I visited this place was when I was a teenager, I believe in 2005, during a trip organized by the school I was attending at that time in another city. It's funny how many years passed, I moved to this city, and still, it took me a few years to return to such a popular and pleasant place to visit.
I arrived at Morro do Cristo around 5 p.m. and took some drone shots while the sunlight was about to fade.

Down there, on the chapel's staircase, I'm sitting flying the drone, and beside me are my girlfriend, my son, and a friend.
Night was approaching, and on the horizon, the last rays of the sun were reflecting off the clouds. None of these photos are edited, so what you're seeing is exactly what I saw on the afternoon of this past Saturday.
With the arrival of night, the lights turned on, and a very cool effect appeared on the statue. Although I don’t like flying the drone at night because I’m afraid it might hit an obstacle, I had to take that risk to capture a few more photos. I really liked the results.
This is similar to the view of the people who were at the lookout at night. If it was already beautiful during the day, the city lights at dusk brought an even more striking beauty for me. It's interesting to observe how small things seem from there, and this leads to many reflections, but I’ll perhaps leave those for another time.
This is a nice place to visit, and if you're in Brazil and passing through Minas Gerais, consider visiting this tourist spot. There are two ways to get there: the first, and easiest, is by car on a well-maintained but steep road; the second is for adventurers who enjoy trails, with some parts involving easy climbing, which will lead you to the end of the road that reaches this location.
This time, I chose to go by car, as I'm not sure my son would handle the more "adventurous" route. Maybe one day, when he's older, we can do this trail together.
Well, that was a bit of what happened on this trip, and I hope you liked what you saw. Until next time!
Look at some very beautiful pictures my friend
Thank you!!
