Angels Landing – breathtaking views and unforgettable moments in Zion National Park

in Worldmappin2 months ago (edited)

Hello friends,

It's been almost a year since my last post on Hive. I've been busy with other things, but hopefully, I can start being active and posting regularly again.

I'm not really into hiking or exploring high places, but I love traveling and discovering nature whenever time and energy allow.

Last summer, my friends and I decided to experience Angel's Landing, famous for its breathtaking rock formations and panoramic canyon views in Zion National Park in Utah. My friend secured a permit through the online lottery, so we continued our adventure.

We started our hike on an easy trail through the woods, then opened to sunny canyon views. The sunlight made the red rocks glow, and the fresh air smelled of pine that lined the pathways. A nice beginning to a beautiful day.

All around us are towering red sandstone cliffs, where the forms were carved by millions of years of natural erosion and weathering.

The relentless forces of nature like wind, rain, and water have etched intricate patterns and curves into the rocks and cliffs, creating breathtaking structures and landscapes.

Because of the steep upclimb and what felt like a 90-degree heat, we had to make several stops under small tree shade to catch our breath, take a break from the hot sun, and hydrate. I stayed fresh by splashing my neck with water and using my rechargeable fan. The beautiful mountains kept me going. The view from where we stopped was amazing and really worth the struggle.

About halfway through the 2.4-mile hike, a friend and I had to turn back. The climb was too narrow and steep for the two of us. However, the rest of our group managed to make it to the chains.

It was a nice walk though, through this footbridge at the trail.

Although I didn't reach the top, it was still a fulfilling and beautiful experience. The breathtaking rock formations and stunning natural landscapes made it all worthwhile.

Thank you for reading.

Wow, what a wonderful place to hike... !

I am so amazed by the intricate carvings on the rocks/cliffs. Thank you for reading.

To be with nature is like a great adventure. The place is really beautiful. But it's too hot no, but if you have the necessary things to keep you hydrate and wet, then the heat is nothing.

There are small trees shade to take cover and of course, we didn't forget our bottled water. Thank you for dropping by.
