Sri Lanka has been voted the ‘Most Desirable Island in the World’ at the Wanterlust Reader Travel Awards 2024, held in London. This achievement marks a significant milestone for the island’s tourism industry, showcasing its appeal and diverse attractions. Over 200,000 travellers participated in the voting, moving Sri Lanka up from eight place last year to claim the Gold award.
