RE: A walk around the Atocha area in Madrid (Spain) [Eng-Esp]

in Worldmappinlast month

Alright, nightmares for a week, haha. In Lelystad, there are heads of elderly men – maybe their fathers? Just kidding… or not? Just kidding! But seriously, this is remarkable – not just a post, but a Stargate crossroad between the past and the future. Like good artist, you don’t describe, you paint with words, creating a cultural, picturesque, virtual walk. I had never heard of Antonio Lopez before, and now I want to know more – what did he mean by ‘Day and Night,’ what was his motive, the significance? Thank you so much!

Thank you very much for these very complimentary words. Also thank you for informing me where the parents are. 😅

About Antonio Lopez and his work "Día y Noche" (“Day and Night”) it is complicated for me to say something, but I will try to explain myself.

Antonio Lopez is above all known as a painter. He is also a realist painter. I return to the heads. One of the heads is sleeping and the other is awake, hence the title "Día y Noche" (“Day and Night”). They were made to commemorate the victims of a terrorist attack in Atocha years ago. But to me, they have never evoked that event, nor the pain of that day.

A big hug and again, @darthsauron. Thank you very much for this comment.

Any time 😊 You deserve it. I'll check 🤠 him later today. Thank you again.
