In the depths of darkness, a boy's heart did break,
In despair he stood, his spirit feeling so opaque.
Alone he stood, with no support or light,
His pain worn on his sleeve, a heavy, burdened sight.
Then one night, the moon's glow caught his eye,
A newfound hope ignited, as stars danced in the sky.
He fell in love with the moon's ethereal grace,
A love so intense, a smile upon his face.
His gaze locked onto the moon, forgetting to blink,
Lost in its beauty, into the abyss he would sink.
At first, he just admired from afar,
But soon he wished to mend the moon, his shining star.
To the moon, he bared his heart and soul,
Sharing his feelings, making his pain whole.
The moon, too, felt a connection so deep,
Her dark side unveiled, a secret she'd keep.
In shadows, they both found a shared plight,
The sun's equal shadow cast upon their night.
Yet, as the sun aged, nearing its final bow,
The boy's love for the moon would only grow.
Blinded by love, he embraced the moon's dual light,
Both beautiful and ugly, a mix of day and night.
But the sun's power unleashed, blindingly bright,
The moon grew in radiance, turning day into night.
The boy's love turned to pain, tears to blood,
As the moon's brilliance blinded, a storm in a flood.
Blinded, broken, he stumbled in despair,
The moon's glow now a curse, a love turned to glare.
No longer did he see her with loving eyes,
His world now dark, full of torment and lies.
Memories of his love, once pure and bright,
Now shrouded in darkness, swallowed by night.
The moon wept for the boy, the pain she caused,
A love that was lost, a future forever paused.
She wished to rewind time, to erase the pain,
To give him back his sight, to make amends again.
But his eyes were gone, forever taken away,
In darkness he remained, where his love did sway.
No longer could he see the moon's soft glow,
A love turned to hate, a heartache to grow.
A tragic tale of love and loss, entwined,
Two souls forever changed, their fates redefined.
The moon's light extinguished, the sun's glow gone,
A love that was once bright, now forever withdrawn.

This is exactly a state of love for so many out there, it's beautiful at the start but as days go by, it fades and just the ashes of it is left causing more pain
