So when I first decided to start writing a few years ago, my greatest challenge was consistently putting pen to paper, and in a search for something to help me along and be more consistent I came across this really cool app “Mirakee” (now “Miraquill”). It was the perfect app for all forms of writing expressions, from short stories to poems to quotes, etc, one of the coolest features of the app in my opinion, is the daily prompts (words, phrases or images) we got, it helped me achieve more creativity and expression as a writer.

Eventually I learnt to be more consistent. Being completely anonymous, with daily creative prompts, as well as a thousand poems and short stories from other writers, it really helped me improve over time. I created more than 100 post over the span of a few months, and in total I currently have 222 (this number is quite interesting in numerology) posts on there, until I stopped using the app last year.

I’ve been falling off lately with being consistent, so I decided to get the “Miraquill” app, only to find out, the app is not available for download in my country, and I can’t help but be a little hurt, and disappointed. Not only have I lost access to an amazing community and safe space, I can no longer access my works. Anyone who’s ever been in a similar situation (either loosing a note, or any space where you expressed yourself) would know how terrible it feels. I’ve just been floating, not knowing how to feel, praying and hoping that somehow they make it available again.

If you have the time, I could use a few app suggestions for writers, or just advice on what to do. Please leave suggestions in the comments. Thank you.

If you search the internet you will find them for sure.
Perhaps you can use a VPN to download the app Miraquill?Have a look at @mariannewest for the daily prompt. You are posting in her community. Next to that I believe she mentions other ways to find a prompt.

If you have android and a Google account it might be in your library underneath not installed. If that's the case you can install it no matter if they say it's not available in your country.

Thank you so much for the suggestions, I tried using a vpn but I still couldn’t download it, and unfortunately I don’t use android. I will definitely check her out, and give it a try. Thanks again

I hear Wattpad is pretty good, though.. It's not without it's controversies. It's got a huge user base but people's works have been known to be stolen and sold on Amazon and Wattpad did nothing to help.

So I guess it's worth it, but I'd suggest not publishing any major work on there.

I used wattpad a long time ago, it’s pretty solid especially with regards to contents, it’s really entertaining, I honestly have no idea why I stopped, it may be worth trying again. Thanks a lot

Freewriters and Inkwell communities usually have prompts...you could keep up with them.

I’m keeping a close eye on their activities. Thank you
