Espero que todos estén muy bien, yo también lo estoy, sin embargo, los últimos días han traído con ellos algunas situaciones que no han sido muy de mi agrado, así que me he enojado un poco al menos un par de veces y todo esto me hizo conectar con mi “yo rebelde” de hace un tiempo (risas) ¿y qué mejor manera de drenar emociones que dibujando? Así que vamos a ello.

Por alguna razón, lo que llegó a mi mente fue una elfa rebelde, valiente y con ganas de enfrentar al mundo y su energía (en mi mente, durante mi proceso creativo), se sentía de fuego, así que decidí crear para ello un compañero fiel, un pequeño fuego flotante que la acompañase siempre y se mantuviera a su lado, alguien que lucha junto a ella cualquier batalla. Así nació la idea y fue momento de hacer el boceto.
Como es costumbre, tomé mi lápiz de grafito en el tono más claro y tracé la base de mi personaje, ya teniendo claro sus dimensiones y la posición de sus piernas y sus manos, tomé un lápiz de grafito en un tono más oscuro, con éste último hice las líneas que definen todos los detalles, el cabello, la ropa y el fuego flotante. También decidí el gesto en su rostro, inicialmente pensé en hacerla completamente enojada, pero luego me di cuenta de que quería que se viera como alguien que se divierte enfrentando la adversidad.
Disculpen si ven algunos trazos chuecos, es que estaba muy cansada y me quedaba dormida dibujando, tuve que hacer el dibujo en dos partes a causa de esto, sentí miedo de terminar con mi lápiz en mi ojo si seguía yéndome de frente contra el cuaderno.

For some reason, what came to my mind was a rebellious elf, brave and eager to face the world and her energy (in my mind, during my creative process), she felt like fire, so I decided to create for her a faithful companion, a small floating fire that would always accompany her and stay by her side, someone who fights with her in any battle. Thus the idea was born and it was time to make the sketch.
As usual, I took my graphite pencil in the lightest tone and traced the base of my character, already having clear its dimensions and the position of her legs and hands, I took a graphite pencil in a darker tone, with the latter I made the lines that define all the details, hair, clothes and floating fire. I also decided the gesture on her face, initially I thought of making her completely angry, but then I realized that I wanted her to look like someone who is having fun facing adversity.
I'm sorry if you see some crooked strokes, I was very tired and fell asleep while drawing, I had to do the drawing in two parts because of this, I was afraid I would end up with my pencil in my eye if I kept going head first into the notebook.

Le hice una foto a mi dibujo y la importé a mi lienzo en la aplicación Ibis Paint X en mi celular, creé una nueva capa y comencé a realizar el line art con un pincel tipo pluma fuerte en color negro, con grosor 5.5 para la mayoría del dibujo y 3.5 para los detalles más pequeños. También en otra capa dibujé el detalle del amarre del corsé, pero mantuve oculta la capa hasta que fuera necesario para los sombreados y luces.

I took a picture of my drawing and imported it to my canvas in the Ibis Paint X application on my cell phone, created a new layer and started to make the line art with a strong pen brush in black, with thickness 5.5 for most of the drawing and 3.5 for the smaller details. Also in another layer I drew the detail of the corset tie, but I kept the layer hidden until it was necessary for the shading and lights.

En una nueva capa en modo multiplicar y con la herramienta de relleno, aplicamos los colores base. Al comienzo tuve dudas sobre el color del corsé, pero ahora veo que fue un acierto.

Para el sombreado utilicé el pincel tipo aerógrafo, tomando los mismos colores de la base y recordando que esta capa debe estar en modo multiplicar, entonces, aplico en los lugares que deben ir las sombras. En el caso de la camisa blanca, tomé un color gris claro para hacer las sombras y para el fuego, tomé dos tonos de naranja.

For the shading I used the airbrush type brush, taking the same colors of the base and remembering that this layer must be in multiply mode, then, I apply in the places where the shadows should go. In the case of the white shirt, I took a light gray color to make the shadows and for the fire, I took two shades of orange.

Es momento de las luces y estas se hacen una nueva capa en modo normal, con el pincel tipo aerógrafo y seleccionando colores más claros que los de la base. Por supuesto, las luces van el los lugares opuestos a los sombreados que ya trazamos.

It's time for the lights and these are made in a new layer in normal mode, with the airbrush and selecting lighter colors than the base. Of course, the lights go in the opposite places to the shadows we have already drawn.

Para el fondo tomé un color azul verdoso y lo añadí con la herramienta de relleno. También quise que se viera el brillo que genera el fuego a su paso, por lo que con el pincel tipo aerógrafo, tomé color amarillo y lo agregué alrededor del mismo, iluminando todo lo que estaba próximo a sí mismo. En este punto ya también coloqué algo de rubor en mi elfa rebelde en una capa aparte, en modo normal y con el pincel aerógrafo.

For the background I took a greenish blue color and added it with the fill tool. I also wanted the glow generated by the fire to be visible, so with the airbrush I took yellow color and added it around the fire, illuminating everything that was close to itself. At this point I also placed some blush on my rebel elf in a separate layer, in normal mode and with the airbrush.
