This week I had the privilege of participating in an exciting art contest sponsored by @radaquest, where I created a character that captured my imagination from start to finish. Let me introduce Sirion, a wandering knight with a story that sparks curiosity and excitement.
Sirion is not just a character in my latest work; he is a figure that represents the struggle against adversity and the relentless pursuit of truth. Imagine a noble knight, once in the king's court, whose fate was drastically changed by a dark plot that unjustly accused him. Now, his armor, a mute witness of countless battles and stained with the blood of monsters, reflects his past of glory and his present of penance.
The image I created portrays Sirion in all his grim splendor. His medieval armor, once resplendent with silver and red accents denoting his regal status, is now marked by wear and struggle. A prominent pectoral plate adorned with a solar emblem, symbol of his noble lineage, stands out. A red scarf wraps around his neck and shoulders, adding a touch of color that contrasts with the ominous background.
I am talking about a background that is not only decorative, but tells its own story: a murky, dark sky, illuminated by the intense light of a bright moon, while flames dance on the ground. This intense and dramatic atmosphere symbolizes Sirion's internal and external struggle, caught between the justice he pursues and the truth he protects.
Creating Sirion has been an exciting journey into the very heart of visual storytelling. I hope my interpretation of this heroic knight awakens in you the same emotions and questions it has awakened in me. I look forward to sharing more of my artistic adventures with you all.

Esta semana he tenido el privilegio de participar en un emocionante concurso de arte patrocinado por @radaquest, donde he creado un personaje que ha capturado mi imaginación de principio a fin. Permítanme presentarles a Sirion, un caballero errante con una historia que despierta la curiosidad y la emoción.
Sirion no es solo un personaje en mi última obra; es una figura que representa la lucha contra la adversidad y la búsqueda incansable de la verdad. Imaginen a un noble caballero, antaño en la corte del rey, cuyo destino cambió drásticamente por un complot oscuro que lo acusó injustamente. Ahora, su armadura, testigo mudo de innumerables batallas y manchada con la sangre de monstruos, refleja su pasado de gloria y su presente de penitencia.
La imagen que he creado retrata a Sirion en todo su esplendor sombrío. Su armadura medieval, una vez resplandeciente con acentos plateados y rojos que denotan su estatus regio, ahora está marcada por el desgaste y la lucha. Destaca una placa pectoral prominente adornada con un emblema solar, símbolo de su noble linaje. Un pañuelo rojo envuelve su cuello y hombros, añadiendo un toque de color que contrasta con el fondo ominoso.
Hablo de un fondo que no es solo decorativo, sino que cuenta su propia historia: un cielo turbio y oscuro, iluminado por la intensa luz de una luna brillante, mientras llamas danzan en el suelo. Esta atmósfera intensa y dramática simboliza la lucha interna y externa de Sirion, atrapado entre la justicia que persigue y la verdad que protege.
Crear a Sirion ha sido un viaje emocionante hacia el corazón mismo de la narrativa visual. Espero que mi interpretación de este heroico caballero despierte en ustedes las mismas emociones y preguntas que ha despertado en mí. Estoy ansiosa por compartir más de mis aventuras artísticas con todos ustedes.

Sirion used to be a noble knight of the king's court, but a dark plot falsely accused him of treason. Now, he roams the lands, seeking to redeem his name and uncover the truth behind the conspiracy. His motto is "Justice is my sword, truth my shield".
Sirion solía ser un noble caballero de la corte del rey, pero un complot oscuro lo acusó falsamente de traición. Ahora, vaga por las tierras, buscando redimir su nombre y descubrir la verdad detrás de la conspiración. Su lema es “La justicia es mi espada, la verdad mi escudo”.
Process / Proceso
From the moment I decided to bring Sirion to life on my digital canvas, I knew that each stroke had to tell his story vividly and emotionally. I began with a meticulous sketch, seeking to capture the essence of this wandering knight: his upright posture but laden with the heavy burden of his past, and the intricate details of his worn but still imposing armor.
Once the sketch took shape, I dove into outlining. Each line had to be firm and precise, carefully outlining the contours of the armor, the folds of the red cloth that wraps around his neck, and every detail of the solar emblem that adorns his chest. This step was crucial to ensure that each element fit perfectly into the overall composition and conveyed Sirion's strength and determination.
Then came the coloring, where the metallic armor came to life with shades of silver and red that evoked both its former glory and the scars of past battles. Every shadow and flash of light was applied with precision to enhance the contrasts and bring out the texture of the armor and fabric.
Applying shadows and shimmers was the final touch that transformed the image into a palpable and exciting scene. Deep shadows under the folds of the cloth and in the dark corners of the armor emphasized the intense and dramatic atmosphere of the nighttime background. The subtle shimmers on the edges of the armor and the solar emblem added a touch of realism and vitality, making Sirion appear ready to defy any adversity that came his way.
At every stage of this creative process, my goal was to convey not only Sirion's physical appearance, but also his history and spirit. Every brushstroke and design decision was carefully considered to capture the essence of this noble knight and make his presence on the digital canvas as powerful as his quest for justice and truth.
Desde el momento en que decidí dar vida a Sirion en mi lienzo digital, sabía que cada trazo debía contar su historia de forma vívida y emocional. Comencé con un boceto meticuloso, buscando capturar la esencia de este caballero errante: su postura erguida pero cargada de la pesada carga de su pasado, y los detalles intrincados de su armadura desgastada pero aún imponente.
Una vez que el boceto tomó forma, me sumergí en el delineado. Cada línea tenía que ser firme y precisa, delineando con cuidado los contornos de la armadura, los pliegues de la tela roja que envuelve su cuello, y cada detalle del emblema solar que adorna su pecho. Este paso fue crucial para asegurar que cada elemento encajara perfectamente en la composición general y transmitiera la fuerza y determinación de Sirion.
Luego vino el coloreado, donde la armadura metálica cobró vida con tonos de plata y rojo que evocaban tanto su antigua gloria como las cicatrices de las batallas pasadas. Cada sombra y cada destello de luz fueron aplicados con precisión para realzar los contrastes y resaltar la textura de la armadura y la tela.
Aplicar sombras y brillos fue el toque final que transformó la imagen en una escena palpable y emocionante. Las sombras profundas bajo los pliegues de la tela y en los rincones oscuros de la armadura enfatizaron la atmósfera intensa y dramática del fondo nocturno. Los brillos sutiles en los bordes de la armadura y el emblema solar añadieron un toque de realismo y vitalidad, haciendo que Sirion pareciera estar listo para desafiar cualquier adversidad que se cruzara en su camino.
En cada etapa de este proceso creativo, mi objetivo fue transmitir no solo la apariencia física de Sirion, sino también su historia y su espíritu. Cada pincelada y cada decisión de diseño fueron cuidadosamente consideradas para capturar la esencia de este noble caballero y hacer que su presencia en el lienzo digital fuera tan poderosa como su búsqueda de justicia y verdad.

- Capacitive pen (Stylus).
- Ibis Paint X program.
- Brushes: Pencil, Airbrush, Fuzzy, Marker.
