Wow, Christmas is coming again. 😩 Time flies, huh... What are the things you are looking forward for Christmas? Me, just the food, haha. I like Christmas ham so we hoard stock until for until next year, haha. But in the meantime, we are just planning for the happenings in the next month. That is just a little update from me.
For this week, I chose Wizard of Eastwood.
Art Process
I first did the sketch of the character, dividing the main part- the body and the arm. For the arm, I added another layer in blue so that I can move it freely for adjustments. And then, I used a pencil brush for the lineart.
I then added separate layers for the base colors. On the base color layers, I clipped a layer for the cell shadows.
Added more of the cell shading on the clothing to create those foldings. I focused more on the shades and hair this time. I really like the character's palette by the way, hehe.
Now, I just wanted to go with a simple shading and background for now. I felt like the character had already many details on it, and so to compensate, I used a white background and a noise filter.
