Les saluda nuevamente Crimson Fox y les doy mi más cordial bienvenida a un nuevo post, y en esta ocasión para traer la segunda parte del anime blogging challenge propuesto por @kuronokenshi, respondiendo a la pregunta “cuál es mi protagonista de anime favorito?”. Al final del post les dejaré la lista de preguntas y el enlace al post original por si esta dinámica llega a ser de su interés. Bueno, sin más dilación, empecemos!
Ok, my favorite anime protagonist is Simon the digger from Tengen Toppa Gurren Laggan; the anime is about how after certain events mankind has been forced to create subway civilizations because if they get out, they will only meet certain death at the hands of mecha called "Ganmen".
Ok, mi protagonista favorito del anime es Simon el excavador de Tengen Toppa Gurren Laggan; el anime trata de cómo tras ciertos acontecimientos la humanidad se ha visto en la obligación de crear civilizaciones subterráneas, debido a que si llegan a salir, sólo encontrarán una muerte segura a manos de mechas denominados “Ganmen”.
Simon was a digger whose hobby was collecting treasures, some of these being a small ganmen (Laggan) and a small drill, which turns out to be the key to operate the ganmen; Simon belongs to the Gurren brigade, led by his soul brother Kamina (the god of this anime), who always motivates Simon and teaches him to believe in himself with the famous phrase "believe in myself that believe in you" and telling him that his drill is the one that will open the gates of heaven, constantly fighting for his freedom and that of all mankind.
Simon era un excavador cuyo hobby era coleccionar tesoros, siendo algunos de estos un pequeño ganmen (Laggan) y un pequeño taladro, el cual resulta ser la llave para manejar el ganmen; Simon pertenece a la brigada Gurren, liderada por su hermano del alma Kamina (el dios de este anime), el cual siempre motiva a Simon y le enseña a creer en sí mismo con la famosa frase “cree en el yo que cree en ti” y diciéndole que su taladro es el que abrirá las puertas del cielo, luchando constantemente por su libertad y por el de toda la humanidad.
Simon was a shy, quiet person, and without a goal beyond following his brother, always as his shadow, as the latter helped him find the courage that lay hidden in him, something that in the long run, I admit, tired me, since a lot of importance was given to Kamina when Simon was supposed to be the protagonist, but a dependence was generated that made Simon's image smaller and smaller and I feared he would remain stuck there...
But one event changed everything, and Simon loses hope, falls into despair, and it wasn't until Nia came out, another character I like very much, who with understanding motivates him and tells him things as they are, he recovers courage, determination, and realizes that he should not depend on the figure of his brother, that he can believe in himself, and achieve what he sets out to do.
Simon era una persona tímida, callada, y sin un objetivo más allá de seguir a su hermano, siempre como su sombra, ya que éste le ayudaba a encontrar el valor que en él yacía escondido, cosa que a la larga, admito, me cansaba, puesto que se le daba mucha importancia a Kamina cuando se suponía que Simon era el protagonista, pero se generaba una dependencia que achicaba cada vez más la imagen de Simon y temía que se quedara estancado en eso…
Pero un acontecimiento lo cambió todo, y Simon pierde la esperanza, cae en desesperación, y no fue hasta que salió Nia, otro personaje que me gusta mucho, que con comprensión lo motiva y le dice las cosas tal y como son, él recupera el valor, la determinación, y se da cuenta que no debe depender de la figura de su hermano, que él puede creer en sí mismo, y lograr lo que se propone.
Tengen toppa gurren laggan is one of my favorite anime, both for its message, the action, the animation, but above all, for its characters, and Simon is considered one of the characters with the best development, starting from the lowest to be the savior of humanity, someone who is worthy of appreciation, admiration, and inspiration for many people. For all of this and the many emotional moments he gave us, Simon the Digger is my favorite character in the anime.
Tengen toppa gurren laggan es uno de mis animes favoritos, tanto por su mensaje, la acción, la animación, pero sobretodo, por sus personajes, y Simon es considerado uno de los personajes con mejor desarrollo, empezando desde lo más bajo hasta ser el salvador de la humanidad, alguien que es digno de apreciación, admiración, y de inspiración para muchas personas. Por todo esto y los muchos momentos emotivos que éste nos brindó, Simon el excavador es mi personaje favorito del anime.

Nunca antes había visto algo sobre este anime pero se ve interesante para verlo.
Sep, en realidad yo cuando lo vi no tenía muchas expectativas, menos al ser de mechas ya que es un género que no me llama mucho la atención o al menos por el momento, por lo que quedé aún más a gusto cuando vi que era tan buen anime.
