It's been a while since I made a fan art... but since Dr. Stone manga ended last Sunday, I felt like making a Senku fan art using some marker pens. It's like a thank you present for the fun and crazy times I have spent with the manga. I really love it and I'm truly looking forward to watching the anime version soon.
I actually wrote about my thoughts on the manga on my last post, so if you haven't checked it yet, CLICK HERE. Just be warned that it contains some spoilers about the manga, so just read with caution if you don't want to be spoiled. haha
Anyway, I'm going to share some progress shots of my fan art on this post, so I hope you guys enjoy it.
In creating this fan art, I used my sketchpad, markers, pencil, eraser and pen for the sketching part. Let's start!
I did a quick pencil sketch of Senku first. I also decided to put the earth as a background. Recently, I've been into filling the whole page with colors.
I then did the line art using a black pen for the main subject and blue pen for the background. I also did some adjustments on the initial draft. Afterwards, I erased and try to make it as clean as possible. In the past, my pencil sketch was so messy, but I'm trying to sketch as lightly as I can now.
Then I started with my favorite part, coloring. I just combined various colors so I could somehow achieve the look that I want. I also tried to make the color as similar as Senku's original color as possible, but I actually didn't have the right colors, so this was the best I could do. haha
I just played with the background using various shades of blue and green for the earth and black for the space.
Lastly, I used a white gel pen to put some highlights and details on the artwork. I also wrote my username and signature below. And that's my Senku fan art for tonight. <3
It's selfie time with my Senku fan art. I really enjoyed making this tonight. It was a good way to relax after work today. I didn't have any evening classes tonight, so I got the chance to make this. I'm so happy!
It was so funny because when mama saw my artwork, she asked me if it's Senku because he looks more handsome than the actual Senku. So, I told her that since it's a fan art, I can make Senku more handsome using my style. <3 I just love drawing pretty boys and ikemen. haha
I'll miss Senku and the gang, but they'll forever be part of my life. It's one of the manga(s) that I learned to love. <3 Until next time, Science Kingdom!
Anyway, I'll end this post here. I hope you enjoy it. See you around! I'll be posting anime-related stuff again because I miss hanging around this community, too... and anime always makes me happy! <3 Jaa ne~!!!
