This was a very special trip, and it was totally unexpected. We went out to run an errand in the afternoon and although we were a little tired we decided to walk home. While we were looking at the store windows of some of the stores, the night came and with it came the turning on of the Christmas lights in the historic center of Caracas, the entire city center and the capitol, so we decided to take a little detour and admire what they had done differently this year for the enjoyment of the people.
Our tour began at the Plaza El Venezolano, a place very close to home but which we rarely visit. I'm not going to deny it, there were the same Christmas attractions as last year, but my wife and I still enjoyed them, and the idea was to spend a pleasant time admiring the city. There is a big difference, and that is that we have a better camera to take pictures at night than last December, so it was like a good photographic update of an old ride 😅
We spent some time in the beautiful street that goes from the corner of San Jacinto to Traposos, where the Museo Casa Natal de Simón Bolívar is located. This small street of stones is always very pleasant for us at any time of the year because they keep it very nice with lights or other attractions and in fact there is always a recording. Just when we were taking pictures there they were going to record something for television, and even this street was an option for my choral group to record one of the Christmas videos, but finally it was discarded.
The Plaza Bolivar and its surroundings also had the same decoration as last year, but it is always a very attractive place for the people of the area. No matter what time you visit, there are people enjoying its freshness and beauty. Near the statue of Simon Bolivar there is a very tall Christmas tree and most of the trees in the square are decorated with bright lights.
Around Plaza Bolivar there are several emblematic buildings of downtown Caracas, such as the Yellow House, the Museum of Caracas, the Government of the Capital District. The Cathedral of Caracas and the Teatro Principal. We approached the latter and decided to come during the week to see some musical plays that are being given as the Nutcracker and a tribute to the musician Billo Frometa, so soon we will be here a little earlier. Then we went up to the Plaza del Banco Central de Venezuela, but the threat of rain made us finish the walk earlier than planned, we have already been too sick to relapse, but we were left with a little of the Christmas energy of the children playing in these crowded places in the center of the city...
❤️ I saved the best photo for last, this tender cat scene where the mother waits for her children to climb the bush, but she was a bit impatient and in the end came down and took them to a safe area to take shelter from the rain that was beginning to fall ❤️

Amazing, thank you so much!...
Wow, that is a lot of Christmas lights. Actually, I have never seen so many at any place, haha
Madrid sweater 😁
Well amiga, in the absence of snow, here we get Christmas nailed by lights hahaha, and I think all Venezuelans are that outrageous with Christmas decorations. Thanks for visiting my dear, and yes, I love wearing that sweater ❤️

Very nice photos of Christmas lighting. A lot of electricity is used to decorate the area. Good post and amazing photos. :)
Yes, here they love to have everything brightly lit and people enjoy it. Thank you very much for your visit my dear friend, it is great to have your presence here in Wednesday alk as well 🙏
Since electricity is expensive in Norway they are very careful to use electricity and here in India, there is unstable power and no decoration where we live But nearby In Goa, they have good decoration. when see posts like this I am very happy. Thanks for sharing. :)
