Wednesday walk: nice trail to walk dogs in Szeged, Hungary

in Wednesday Walk3 years ago

As a dog owner I always look for different routes for our walks to spice up our days a little. Dogs can get bored with the same route too, not just us. Fortunately, we have some nice options in Szeged. One of the most popular one is the Tisza-Maros Teaching Trail, which is inside the city borders. It is a teaching trail because there are several information posts about the local flora next to it.

It is right next to the Tisza river, and ends where the Maros river meets with the Tisza.

The trail is ~ 4 km long, and there is zero elevation, because Szeged is a part of the Great Hungarian Plains.

It is an ideal place to walk dogs, because this is one of the places where we can let them off leash in the city. Also, they can go in the water when the weather is a little warmer.

There are also places where people can gather around a fire cooking something.

I think teaching trails are such a great idea

Thanks for joining Wednesday Walk :), I truly enjoy exploring the world virtually each Wednesday seeing walks from all around the globe and feeling I am there and experiencing it all myself, such as I did in your post just now :)

Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thanks to four seasons in Hungary, the trail is always changing and provides endless material for photographers, and we are not getting bored with it. This community you created is a great initiative, thanks.

Most welcome
And yes the changing seasons are great for us photographers 🙂

Though it doesn't really matter where you go, dogs are alway so entertaining and can be entertained so easily, but it's great to see that you do have such a great area to walk with them!

And they are both gorgeous dogs too!

From that angle I can't tell what the black and white one is, but the little brown one almost looks like he/she could be half Daschund?

I am also a dog- animal lover too! 😃 This is me..Nice to meet you and I look forward to seeing you again some time.

The brown one is half dachs and half fox terrier (known parents), behaves like a dachs totally. The white one is definitely part fox terrier because also behaves like one (unknown parents), but there is maybe some whippet there because he is really slim. Or maybe he is a small pharaoh dog acting like a foxi.
They can be entertained easily, but how tired they get really depends on the quality of entertainment. The more tired they are, the better :D

Looks wonderful and you have such cute dogs, I live in Austria on the Hungarian border.

Thank you! You are lucky, I could kill for some mountains close by sometimes.
