Saturday Savers Club - The Difference A Day Makes

Hello to all Saturday Savers. We are now at the end of week 12 and we are approaching the end of March. You can check what week it is here. This week we have been looking at the new XV token here.

It looks like a great token to hold long term with some diversified crypto holdings and we learned more about it on the Talk Time with Tengo Ecency Discord Hangout Show.

This week I have decided to start the 365 Day Saving Challenge to help build up my HBD savings and take advantage of that 20% APR. This got me thinking about the great song by Dinah Washington.

In this challenge you need to save a small amount each day and gradually increasing as the year goes by. The start of 0,01 is nice and easily reachable, but later this goes to 3,65 per day.

I have decided to do the challenge in HBD instead of any fiat of course and I was thinking that later in the year when I need to save more each day, I would put a couple of posts to HBD payout to help out or I would need to buy some HBD, either way, it should be do-able.

First of all I created the 365 saving chart and the good thing is that it starts off nice and easy at 0,01. The other great thing is that with HBD paying 20%, the compounding interest should also help me to reach my goal.

To help me track my goal, I created another table where I can check the values each week and just enter them in. So as I am starting this week, I just entered my starting balance. The goal for this week is then to save 0,28 HBD.

The great thing about this challenge is that it is habit forming in that it will get me in the habit of making some savings each day and accumulating wealth.

On to this week's numbers:

My main target is to grow my Hive Power.

My Hive increased by 318 last week which is great compared to last week and this is actually for 8 days and not 7, so that accounts for the higher result. I didn't buy any Hive yet to power up, but am still looking for a good market dip to take advantage, although we could already be near the bottom for Hive, the only way is up from here.

My second goal is to increase my ALIVE power to 25k. This is my current progress:

This week I staked 336 ALIVE tokens which was a great result I think. I am still 313 ALIVE tokens behind my goal, so I need to increase that somehow.

My final goal is to increase my staked SPS.

My SPS increased by 475 this week which is a great result. The price of SPS remains strong and it is great to see my holdings growing in value.
