Holiday is coming la la la la

Yippee! The long-awaited season of Yuletide is here again, the month of love, fun, pleasure, and exploration! My holiday starts on December 13th and extends to January 6th of next year, as a teacher. The feeling of anticipation is already in the air; I just need to finish my work on time, prepare the students’ scores for upload, and then let the festivities begin! Even though it's a short holiday I love it so much.

The student's yearly end-of-the-year is slated to be held tomorrow, and the bubbles in their bellies are out of this world. Our end-of-the-year party for teachers alone is coming up on Wednesday. We need to celebrate ourselves, and we do this once a year with so much to dine and wine; we have a unique attire for the celebration. It's fun and enticing!

This time of the year is for decluttering and giving back. I lovingly gather items in good condition, like clothes, shoes, bags, kitchen tools, toys, and even food items, to donate. I make it a point to take these items to church. After all, the essence of Christmas is to feed those in need; it's about love and being loved. What better way to spread joy than by sharing? Try to share this season👌

This type of holiday, the Yuletide season, is one I cherish, filled with so much fun! With so many industries shutting down for the holidays, we can revel in stable electricity power even if it's for that short period. That's because we have epileptic electricity in Nigeria 🤣. Hubby and I have decided to host our loved ones instead of traveling this year. We're thrilled to welcome family to our home since our wedding fell during this festive season! Our mother-in-law, father-in-law, sister-in-law, various cousins, nephews, and nieces will all be joining us. It’s going to be a full house!

My plans are well mapped out, and I’ve already begun the decluttering process. Washing the curtains and preparing the guest rooms are also on my agenda. As for food? I’m a kitchen expert! I could spend all day cooking without getting tired, like my mother-in-law's admiration. I’ve even created a meal timetable; my husband teases me about it because I want to avoid stressing my brain over what to cook.

Unfortunately, Nigeria's grocery prices have skyrocketed, so we've been swift in stocking our home with enough. We’ve even taken to raising chickens at home to reduce the burden of outrageous prices. Can you believe that a single small broiler can cost as much as thirty thousand naira? That's just too much to bear!

Additionally, I plan to take my kids and all the children for a fun day out, ensuring they create memories to write about for “How I Spent My Last Holiday.” when they resume back to school. I’m also eager to hang out with friends, sharing gossip and laughter, and truly savoring this festive spirit.

One of my highlights will be visiting the cinema to catch a trending movie called Everybody Loves Jenifer, a tradition I uphold every year. The lively atmosphere is uplifting, lifting me away from daily worries and filling my soul with sweetness.
I won't forget to rest and relax, too, so that I won't break down when work starts again.

I have no choice rather than to feel for people who work 365 days round the clock without a holiday in place for them; I don't like working with such companies because holidays are good for the body, soul, and spirit.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all! Christmas is the reason for making this holiday one to remember, and it’s a season everyone anticipates with joy and hope.

Let's enjoy the holiday!

When I was in primary school I used to look forward to these end of the year school parties. 🥹
They were so much fun.

Very much fun and it's still the same.
Seasons greetings to you, dear

I love the decluttering and giving part you guys involve in, we also do the same in my church, and it's almost your holiday period, have a fun!

Yes, that's a good one. Let's give back if we can.
Thanks for stopping by

I’ve even created a meal timetable; my husband teases me about it because I want to avoid stressing my brain over what to cook.

Seriously, this is very important oo
Because thinking about what to cook is another form of work. This has made me to sometimes wish I was a man 😂

🤣🤣🤣This has made me sometimes wish I was a man 😂🤣🤣🤣 Every woman's wish when it comes to cooking. That alone is a job on its own 😂

Seasons greetings to you, dear
