Thank you for the happiest year of my life 🎶
Yayyy it's my birthday guys💃🏻💃🏻
Still shocked at my new age, the way I am gradually approaching my thirty’s 🥺🙄🙄
The other day I was having a conversation at the health center with a young girl and she told me how she was 23 years old in my head we were age mates o, till I had to remind myself that I was 23 a long time ago and not anymore.
This age thing is still a discovery!!!
Last year's birthday was a big blur, I remember telling my family not to even remind me or talk about it, I was in pain from my surgery with a 2 weeks old baby that needed my attention every hour he isn’t asleep. I just wanted to focus on that and nothing else.
Trust my family to do otherwise, they got me all the nice things I enjoy and made my husband fly down from Lagos to spend time with me.
Now I think about it, birthdays are not about age, it is about family and the people who care for you and most importantly the joy of being alive. Last year taught me so.
I noticed how my mother was everywhere, and in everyone’s business on my birthday, she was on the phone with everyone telling them how it was her baby’s birthday, at the time I was pissed by how personal she took it but when it was my son birthday and I was in everyone’s business about his birthday I understood the joy she was feeling that day and I wished I didn’t get so pissed at it last year.
So this year I made sure I called her first before she calls me and apologized about last year, we laughed about it she prayed and that started my day.
She said something
last year was tough but you were tougher that’s why I celebrate you every day and not just birthdays
Those words touched me and meant so much to me.
I am starting this new age with God as always, with a better understanding of life, and a lovely family and I am looking forward to all the good things life has to offer.
Lord show me how good it can get in this new age

I understand your situation in your last birthday , the pain of that surgery after every every is not here , so I believe birthday was the last thing in ur mind then but it's okay , you are fine now
