I was standing in front of Coco + Maco Patisserie.
I was lost in thoughts again. And what's funny is I took off the bus at the wrong place. It was the second time this month. My mind may be floating with what has been happening in my life recently. Although everything is okay and seems to be slowly falling into place, I still feel anxious because I'm still adjusting to my new work.
The signage read "Coco + Maco Patisserie". I passed by this place countless times, but it was the first time I had known there was a cafe just the corner. Well, I decided to take refuge and have a coffee before going home. I went and ordered an iced latte and a small box of macaroons.
As I opened the Coco + Maco Patisserie door, the sweet smell of freshly baked pastries enveloped me like a warm embrace. It is in Mandaue, sat at the corner of A.S. Fortuna Street. The Cafe has minimalist aesthetics, yet every element is elegant. On this sunny afternoon, it seemed like the perfect place to chill out after a transportation mishap. While savoring the iced latte and macaroons, I was again lost in my thoughts. Now, I was contemplating the complexities of love. I don't know why I considered that, but my mind is weird. So I embraced my weirdness.
I took a seat at a small table by the window. I gazed out the window, watching people bustling by on the street outside. My thoughts turned to love, and I wondered about the different forms it takes in our lives. There is love between a parent and a child. The love between friends and the romantic love that poets and authors have written about for centuries.
I took a sip and savored the rich. Looking around, I saw couples holding hands and stealing kisses, their faces glowing with joy and contentment. I saw friends chatting and laughing, sharing their lives and experiences with each other.
Then, I noticed a woman sitting alone at a nearby table. She was staring into her cup of tea, lost in thought. As I watched her, I felt a pang of empathy. I realized love can also be a source of pain and longing. People struggled with the complexities of love. The woman at the nearby table was still lost in thought, her eyes fixed on her cup of tea. I wondered what her story was, what had brought her to this moment of contemplation.
I sipped my latte and thought about the greatest love stories ever. From Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet to Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice, these stories have captured our imaginations and inspired us to believe in the power of love.
But as I looked around the Cafe, I realized that the most beautiful love stories are not the ones we read about in books or see on the big screen. They are the stories of ordinary people who find love in the small moments of everyday life. Sometimes love stories are not of grand gestures or dramatic proclamations always. It was a story of quiet moments shared between two people who cared deeply for each other.

Love can take many forms, from the unbridled passion of new romance to the comforting companionship of long-term relationships. Love is not always easy, but it is always worth it. It requires patience, understanding, and a willingness to be vulnerable. But despite the challenges, it is a force that can uplift and transform us, bringing us closer to ourselves and one another.
I felt a different appreciation of love as I left the Coco + Maco Patisserie that cloudy afternoon. I knew that love would continue to inspire and wonder, a never-ending journey of discovery and growth. While it was unplanned, who would have thought that a bus mishap would end up introspective? The Cafe may help me lose in thoughts again and, at the same time, chill out.
In the days that followed, I reflected on my experiences with love. I thought about the people who had come and gone from my life, the moments of joy and pain. But through it all, I knew that love was always there, waiting to be rediscovered and appreciated anew.
And so, I felt a sense of peace and contentment. Love would continue to inspire, challenge, and fill my life with meaning and purpose. And for that, I was genuinely grateful.
Coco + Maco Patisserie was always there in the corner. I passed by it, yet I overlooked its existence. It was just like love sometimes. It's in front of us, but we're looking somewhere else. If I where not been lost in my thoughts and dropped off in the wrong place, I would not be able to discover this little gem. Well, the macaroons are tasty. I might try some other pastry next time.

The Coco + Maco Patisserie is a really cool cafe!😄Dear my amigo @juecoree !
I have often heard about the dazzling scenery of tourist destinations in the Philippines!
However, you seem to enjoy contemplation in your own space rather than the hustle and bustle of tourist destinations!
The Filipinos I imagine have a tendency to enjoy singing and dancing and enjoying noise, but you look like a philosopher, which is unusual!😃
I have always been amazed by the fact that the Philippines' cities, amusement parks, and tourist destinations are very luxurious and ultra-modern, but the countryside is still poor and backward!
I felt that my amigo @juecoree was lonely and troubled while watching the extreme gap between rich and poor in the Philippines!
I do enjoy the hustle and bustle, but I enjoy most on the stories of the places and the destinations I went to.
Well, that what a lot of my people are, but I'm a bit different. Perhaps, it is due to my introversion. I like peace and quite a lot. I can't say that I'm like a philosopher, but I like to reflect and think things though.
When I see struggles everyday, I can't help but to emphatize and reflect about the dualities of life.

This stood out for me. I agree.
Your post is absolutely beautiful. I'm trying to picture this cafe in Mandaue. It's a hidden gem I suppose, and one that would make your eyes beam when spotting it there:)))
Thank you! Actually, I was suprised to found out that there was a cafe there.
