A few years ago, the only digital skills I had were wasting my data away, texting and watching videos. And all that those skill did were waste my time away. I wasn’t earning from them but I was rather investing my money and time with no returns.
But, my life changed a lot when I decided to learn some digital skills to help me in one way or the other. One thing about me is that, I love to take advantage of every situation I find myself in and I’m not shy to learn. If I don’t know something, I make sure to humble myself and learn from those who know. And that has made my life better in so many ways.
Through my curiosity, I started a web design study session with a friend and I was doing pretty good. Currently, my progress is really slow but as they say, slow motion is better than no motion. Now, let’s look towards a skill I would say I’m becoming a pro at.
Everything I know and do today started from curiosity. Most of my friends are into photography and they’re making big money out of it. So, I also decided to use the opportunity to learn from them as the curious and humble woman that I am. First, I started taking shots with my phone and I had my friends laugh at me so much cos the pictures were terrible. They then told me to do this and that and slowly, I started to capture great pictures.
I didn’t have a camera then and as a newbie, no one wanted to give me their camera. First, I needed to learn with my phone before touching these expensive cameras cos if I should destroy it now I won’t have money to pay. Straight to jail.😂 So, I used my phone to learn and I got quite good at it in about half a year.
Then, I started to use my friends camera to take my shots but I also planned on saving to get my own camera. Today, I take very great pictures both with my phone and with my friends cameras ( until I get mine). But since I don’t have a camera of my own to start business with, I’d just have to stick to mobile photography.
Looking into the future, I hope to get a high tech camera which I can use to start a photography business because I believe every moment is worth capturing. I love the pictures and photography at large because every picture has a story.

amazing. I had a camera that had a faulty battery before, so I kept it on my shelf, hoping that one day I would get a battery for it. I traveled for 2 years, and I got back home only for me to discover it wasn't in my room again. I asked, but it was nowhere to be found. During those two years, my mom allowed visitors into my room, and my brother also brought in his friends, so I guess one of them must have helped me keep it without my consent. Photography is nice, and knowing how to edit it is better.

Web design is really great. Personally its good to see more women taking up this tech thing. Photograph is also another area that can sure add a nice gel to your web design journey which you'll get to find out later that's if you haven't yet.
Btw I think I'll have to get serious too this year. I'm getting soft 😪
My progress is really slow with web development but I’d do better next year.
